    Horrible experience

    Better late than never, but after several months I am finally sitting down to write a review. Worst rental/lease experience EVER and I have handled at least a dozen rentals for myself, kids and parents over the past 10+ years. List of issues is too long to detail, but suffice it to say not a SINGLE step with this company went well once they had deposit to hold rental. Bait and switch terms is their SOP!! Horrible is most positive word I can use to describe the management of this property!! Check out reviews for management company (Cannon Management) and you will get a VERY accurate view of what you are getting into IF you rent here!! We discounted the HORRIBLE management company reviews in favor of the rather good property reviews, BIG mistake!! Maybe fact that the positive and frequently mentioned 'Norma' is no longer a manager plays into downfall? Anyway, BEWARE of false management smiles because they will be replaced with an overwhelming smirk covering the undisguised chuckle of "we have your deposit and you have booked the movers; gotcha ...hahahahaha". So glad we cut our losses and stepped away.

    Excellent home

    My wife and I have lived here going on 6 years. we have a two bedroom, 2 bath unit that is quite spacious and comfortable. Norma, Mike and the rest of the staff are quick to resolve any issue that may popup and are always available in emergencies. The property is clean and well maintained. It is centrally located to shopping and dining and as my wife and I are both retired, it makes it an ideal place for us to live and we couldn't be happier. Thanks to Norma, Mike, Ernesto and the rest of the staff for making this great place to call home.

    Great place to live! Management and staff take pride of the community!

    I had nothing but a great experience residing at Hilltop at Winchester. The application/move in process was smooth, any issues or repairs we had were diligently addressed and taken care of by maintenance ASAP, and the move out process was equally smooth. The grounds are kept well and clean, and most importantly safe. Peaceful, serene and family friendly. Neighbors are respectful and keep to themselves. Location is great and is in within a 1-2 mile radius from grocery stores, gym, drug stores, the mall, etc. Highly recommended!

    Nice location... that’s it

    The only nice about this place is the location. Parking is rough unless you buy one. The staff aren’t too welcoming and can feel like an invasion of your privacy. Rent is a bit much for this place. They do fix thing quickly though.

    We were pleasantly surprised!

    My family and I moved in at the end of October and have been very happy here. I also saw all the negative reviews and was somewhat skeptical but can tell you even though the application process took awhile Norma, Kelly and Roxanne was nothing but professional. They were in constant contact with us and always there to answer our questions. When we saw our 3 bd unit we were thrilled with the amount of room it had and how nice everything was. We called for maintenance twice since being here and it was addressed quickly and resolved. Maintenance guy (not sure his name) was also very professional and friendly. Can’t say enough good things about our experience here so far. Parking can be an issue but have never had trouble finding parking on street. Would be very confident to recommend living here.

    Don't be so quick to believe the negative reviews!

    I moved in here around August of this year. Although there were hiccups in my application mostly due to covid related issues for background checks, it was a pretty easy process overall but just took a while. I have the 3 bedroom apartment and it is spacious and has an open layout. I would even go to say that it has more space than some of the houses I looked at. The space is more so with the living room and bedrooms. All of the bedrooms are a nice size with no tiny rooms, and can all fit Cali king size beds. The security here is pretty good with gate code access after 6pm and keys that are microchips so it's not easy for someone to duplicate. The apartment is also pretty sound proof with thick walls. My last apartment I lived on the top floor and the people below would always make a lot of noise.Thankfully, in this place no one complains about sounds or hearing too much of your neighbor. Also, the ceilings are a nice height too, not too low. My only issue is parking. I have 2 people living with me but we only get 1 garage and they have to find parking alongside the edge of the road on Winchester. Another thing is that we all have nice cars so it's fairly easy for someone to break into it or slash the tires. We did bring this issue up with management and I do really appreciate their responsiveness because they right away contacted a security camera company to put cameras alongside their property. And a few final words, don't always believe the negative reviews you read. I saw all the negative reviews online and it almost made me rethink my decision moving here. Most of these people seemed bitter and really had it out for "Norma" who is also a human being too. If you don't like this place that's fine but let's have some respect for one another. I understand some people feel wronged and their voices are heard but don't let one person's negative experience affect your potentially positive one. And as far as dogs go on the property, there is such thing as a support dog. My husband is a veteran and has his dog to help with his PTSD. So please take these reviews lightly and if you are interested come in person and take a tour like I did and get a feel of the environment. Who knows,.you might like it more than you expected!

    Extremely unprofessional

    Sent them my money when I submitted an application and was called the next day and told that I needed to mail in ( since I'm out of state) a 100$ money order or cashiers check before they even run the application. I was told that they would hold a specific apartment for me and when I called to follow up and see if they had received the money order which I mailed overnight to them (mind you another 25$) they told me that they rented out the specific apartment which they said they would hold for me leaving no other apartments available for the same price and move in date. This was one of the most unprofessional office staffs I have ever dealt with. They just keep repeating themselves on the phone and pretending like they didn't do anything wrong. RENTERS BEWARE I would really review all other options before moving into this place and having to deal with this extremely unprofessional office staff.

    Down hill since management change

    I will be moving when my lease is up. The new management is ridiculous. The manager Norma is out of control. She has no people skills, is rude, and does not enforce rules equally. The gym and pool are not what they were when I moved in. I've addressed this with the office but the other ladies are hampered by the manager. This is unfortunate since it was such a great community prior to the manager change. I will miss the views which are so beautiful from my apartment.

    Fair

    Been living here for a couple years. Overall it's a nice place to live. Rent seems a little pricy, but the apartments are bigger inside than most places. They used to have more perks in the office for the residents, but many of those have been taken away. They only provide coffee now. The BBQ's they have are worthless. Not gas, need charcoal, but won't cook your food because not air gets to the coals. They have a gas fire pit that hasn't worked since I've been here. Gym is nice, but no TV's. They were removed or something. Maintenance is good. Very responsive. Always see Murrieta police here. Not sure why.

    Queen of the Hilltop

    I fell in love with this complex right away and have had absolutely no regrets in making it my home. All units are spacious and several perks such as carport/garage, washer/dryer, fireplace, and patio are included. As the name suggests, Hilltop sits on top of a hill which has an amazing view of the Murrieta/Temecula area. In addition to the epic scenery, the premises also includes a fire pit, playground, BBQ, heated pool and spa, and 24 hr gym. Shopping centers and schools are located nearby.

    The Fantastic View

    My apartment has a amazing views! Its located on a Hill Top and living on the 2nd floor has spectacular view that takes your breath away some times. I have 180 degree view of the of Temecula Valley and mountains. When enjoying your family gatherings or just sitting at the dinning table, living room window or even enjoy sitting on the terrace it gives you a sense being so free, and makes you feel happy, and want to go straight home after long days work and release all the stress through the beautiful view. The beautiful palm trees and landscaping adds to your daily enjoyment of being surround by a private sanctuary. Our apartment has a detached garage for easy access to our beautiful apartment. Leasing staff is truly helpful and always available. This apartment is located nears schools for all age, shopping malls and fine eateries. We love our apartment and feel very blessed each day that there was a vacancy that came along for our family.
