Property Ratings at Hickory Woods
This place is a piece of crap to live in. Terrible flooding throughout apartment and mold growth. Management won’t take the proper steps to fix the actual problem. They’ll just keep offering to get carpet “cleaned”. Wet carpet, wet ceilings, nasty smell, mold, bugs, gnats from wetness. Not worth the price you pay in rent and truly disgusting. POOR management and maintenance as well. Do not waste your time or money in this complex.Will not pay security deposit or at least one month of rent for the inconveniences this place brings. Read all reviews before moving here. All the ones about flooding and mold are very much true!
You’re paying a bare minimum price so you get a bare minimum apartment. It’s not necessarily a bad place to live... no one steals your packages and the employees are nice. Some things I didn’t like include that they do surprise home inspections and raise your rent if you’ve been living there for a certain amount of time. Also the maintenance is always cheap temporary fixes so things have to be fixed several times... so, take that as you will. It’s not the worst but it’s not the best either.

Terrible management that does not care about their tenants, disgusting flooding throughout apartment and hallways. Would not recommend anyone to live here, it is truly a dump.
I have lived here for 5 years and have been very happy. its a small community which I like. Its peaceful and quiet and in a nice part of town. management is great and i believe maintenance lives on site. I would recommend this place to anyone in westland.
These reviews are false this place is a dump and they changed management again! Maintenance is terrible the doors to the buildings stays open the heating is terrible..everything about this place is terrible i WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! STAY AWAY YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.

We have not changed management. Management company is still the same. We brought in a new office manager back in September of 2015. Property is always kept clean and updated. Common hallways do not have locks on them but, all apartments have deadbolts. Everyone has their own thermostat and resident controls their own heat. You also have your own central A/C. Maintenance supervisor lives on sight and has been with the company for 10 years.
Convinenece is key to, affordability, comfortable living, multi cultural, fine dining, entertainment, recreatinal, educational, family and business friendly community. Located close to major transit systems and expressways. Whether lounging by the pool, hiking a trail or a busy communte. Hickory Woods Apartments in Westland, MI. is a great place to live, play and explore.

I've lived here going on 3 years, it's clean, quiet, safe. The maintenance guys and office lady are great. There's is a fitness room that's a big plus for me.
