The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Hickory Trace Village Apartments
I stayed here for a year and the first day i moved in it was summer, late June and 88 degrees and the air conditioning was not working. I called and got that fixed however, maintenance kind of rigged it together and there was an awful running water sound when running the air conditioning that I just had to deal with. my particular unit was like a cave and moldy. after the air conditioning was "fixed" the dirty carpet always seemed wet/moist. some of the residences had the habit not leaching their large dog and I was almost attacked while walking my 4lb leashed yorkie. these are perfect if you enjoy living with huge water bugs and lots of hopping bugs that i had no Idea how they got into the unit. do yourself a favor and consider other options
Had a very nice year here. Maintenance was very quick, usually they are there same day or next day and the ladies in the office were always helpful. I also just got a full refund on my deposit. I will definitely be coming back if my job ever puts me back in this area.
My wife and I just moved in this month and it has been a very good experience. We appreciate that the apartment is in good shape, and maintenance has been very quick to respond to the two issues that we did have. It is quiet with pleasant, respectful neighbors. My wife absolutely loves her screened-in porch. We've not yet had an opportunity to experience all the amenities, but we are looking forward to enjoying the pool, walking trail, and workout room. We are very happy tenants.
I have enjoyed hickory trace for 3 years now and want to continue my stay here until jobs transfer me out. They take care of the big and small stuff efficiently for maintenance and my apartment needs. Great neighbors to be around and I feel safe there. Highly recommend this place.
I've spent a little over a year at the complex as a college student. The apartments are reasonable for the price however the staff here is unbelievably hard to work with. I've only had minor problems, but I've heard of crazy lawsuits, petty charges, and some of my good friends had their dog hit and killed by the leasing managers car and she just "should have been on a leash". Let's just say we will not be returning after how we have been treated. Also the leasing office works on unknown hours, I’ve called and visited the office multiple times thoughout the day to drop off my keys on the last day of my lease and they are no where to be found... poorly poorly managed, spend your money elsewhere and save yourself from the headaches.
I just moved in, again, this week. Due to job changes and a divorce I have moved several times in the last 8 years. This is my third apartment at this property because I believe its the best apartments in Hickory. The location is perfect, the property is kept clean and the people who work here are by far the best i've seen in the industry. Maintenance is always quick. The girl in the office even saved me a bunch of money, last time, when I had to break my lease by leasing out my apartment for me. These people actually care, that's why i keep coming back
Very well kept apartments. Love the free crawdad tickets and that their are two pools and a dog park. Maintenance is very friendly and quick. Big thumbs up here!!
I was taken to court for paying the amount of rent that was asked when I went month to month. I was taken to court and the judge made hickory trace village pay for the court cost because I proved what I was supposed to pay. The judge specifically said if he reissued a check to not cash the other checks. Not only did they try to cash 1577.45$ worth of checks for one month rent, they towed my other car and Jetski while I was in court, and moving in 3 days. I leave the apartment immaculate, thinking I would get my 400$ deposit back. NO, I got a bill for over 400$ to include the court cost that the judge said hickory trace village was responsible for. Very spiteful and wouldn't recommend.
This experience has been absolutely wonderful. I lived here for 3 years while getting my masters and thoroughly enjoyed my apartment and the area. I unexpectedly had to move back home and break my lease. The girls in the office were amazing and were able to re-rent my apartment for me and saved me alot of money. I was very pleased to see how much they cared for me and my finances when I know they could have just let my apartment sit and I would have had to pay for it. I am so grateful and just wanted to thank them publicly.

Thank you for your review! A complement from a resident is the best indicator of our meeting or exceeding your expectations! I'm glad you enjoyed your stay with us and we hope we left a fond memory of your stay at Hickory Trace Village.
Don't get me wrong, this isn't a bad place to live. But it's not exactly conducive to commuting to Charlotte. Add to that, you can't get 3bdrms and it's a bit out dated. But for a good old reliable 1-2bdrm snooze fest, it's not so bad. Trading up!!!
