The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Hickory Creek
Overall I have had a good experience here. Moved in August of 2022. Staff was all friendly with us and gave us a cute little gift basket. They were flexible with us as we were two college students moving out for the first time. Overall maintenance has been good, there have only been a few times I had to put in multiple requests for one thing. There’s only a couple complaints I have. We didn’t initially have an issue with hot water, but the last few months it has been ridiculous. Like, only 5 minute showers even if that was the first time you used the water that day. Also, the laundry charges are ridiculously expensive, I wish they had an option to put them in unit as well. Overall, it has been a good experience living here especially for my first apartment. Everyone keeps to themselves for the most part.
Maintenance: The maintenance crew is very polite. They don’t like to invade your privacy or space and they fully complete any maintenance request. Staff: Both of the front desk ladies are nice and they always show kindness. Environment: The neighborhood is quiet and everyone minds their business. My neighbors made sure to help with safety and receiving my packages. Very mellow again never any loud music played or extra noise. Apartment: Clean and Cozy. The brick wall accent is really nice. Can’t hear neighbors. Very private. Plumbing: Obviously the plumping is connected with other units so if your neighbor have plumbing issues there is a 95% chance that you may. Washer/Dryer: Have the option to be in your apartment. I personally had one in unit. Love the app used to wash clothes because you don’t have to keep leaving your apartment to check on the washer/dryer. Late Payments: No games played here. You will be charged what is stated in the lease but there can be a leniency depending on the circumstances. Amenities: only wish there was a gym here and more offered such as a pool but with the price paid for rent it is wonderful regardless. Rent: very very great pricing for rent. Definitely receive more for your money. Safety: There’s no other doors that are locked to go into the unit besides your apartment but with the environment being so calm and collective you shouldn’t have to worry about any crime.
The maintenance crew out here is awesome. It is one of the best crew that Hickory Creek has had in years. The one guy (Chris) is a workaholic. He always trying to make the resident feel welcome and at home. I love these guys.
They don't keep the apartments maintained. You have to put several requests to get anything fixed. I definitely wouldn't recommend!!! Been bought twice and still not improving! They totally remodel and finally fixed stuff after the tenants move out! They're not affordable anymore more either!
Very rude and and unprofessional staff that ignores multiple attempts at communication over the span of weeks. Not worth the effort.
I came to fill out an application on 2-6-18 and the lady Sheila was so rude she immediately asked me was I from Chicago or Fort Wayne she let me fill the application out I gave her the application she stated that they didn't take people that had any evictions got rude with me I'll grab my things and I left I don't understand why this lady is still employed there she's very unprofessional she's very rude and made it feel very uncomfortable while filling an application out when I first came she wasn't there she was at the post office and getting chicken from Kentucky Fried. I wouldn't recommend this place for my dog to stay
It is very quiet and peaceful and all utilities are included the rent is not to high and there are stores very close by.
