Northwest Manchester is a neighborhood spanning the area to the west of the Merrimack River about five miles from the city’s center. The majority of Northwest Manchester is filled with wooded lands hiding manicured neighborhoods and luxurious homes. Rental options are mostly clustered along the eastern border of town, closest to Interstate 293. The eastern border of town also provides several opportunities for outdoor recreation through the parks and trails along the river. A few shopping and dining choices are located off the interstate, but more entertainment options are located just south of town in the downtown district.

Property Ratings at Heritage at the River
These are nice apartments with old character. The leasing office employees are very nice and friendly. The parking is very spacious. The apartment is very spacious. The cleanliness is a 4/5.
Being here 5 years, I’ve seen a vast improvement in not only the level of service provided, but the community engagement. The new leasing office team, has made a concerted effort to have more community building events, which has been nice to see.
Been here six months and love it. Everyone in office is top notch. Love the community to walk around the club house and pools. It’s quiet and feels like your in the country away from the city
The Heritage apartments are cozy and comforting. Laundry is right down stairs. Baseboard Heating and wall unit AC work well. Surrounded by nature. A big plus is the pool and gym!
For the most part it is good with just the minor inconvenience of the water stains on the ceiling, mold in the bathroom calking, glowing spots in the master, a main water valve for the entire building the takes up a quarter of my porch and people staring through our porch window. The staff are all friendly and due what they can, but I will more then likely be leaving at the end of the year due to the apartment we picked and issues we have moving back to Hallstead across the way
Quick application process. Amazing staff. It only was a week from application to approval. We love our apartment. Animal friendly and safe community. The pool are is very clean and the gym is clean also.
Overall, it is a good community. The maintenance people are really nice and friendly. It's great that there's two pools and a fitness center. Too bad you usually one of the pools are closed.
We've been here less than a week. 2 hours after we moved in we filed a concern. We had no air conditioning in the main living area during the year's longest hottest Heat wave. After 3 days they brought one out that didn't work. I've been in the field for many years it doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand when something that's supposed to blow out cold air blows out hot air. We found cockroaches an hour into the move. Had an appointment for the following Wednesday that's the only day they come out and they didn't show without warning. I sat home waiting. I called and they said there's nothing they can do except make us another appointment for another week away. And not unpack my stuff and put it away they don't want it in the cabinets until they have sprayed. So you can imagine my living situation. Keep in mind we are two family members living together I'm permanently disabled and he just got out of surgery for a spine operation. And these are the conditions we live in already.
My apartment is fantastic. It's easy to clean and the rooms are a good size. Most of my neighbors are wonderful. Maintenance is on the ball about fixing things and they are great. While I do love it here, there are a few things I don't like. I don't like that we cannot put curtains on our balconies. We should be allowed to have some semblanceof privacy. I also feel that mosquito netting for the balconies should be allowed. Also, there should be a wheelchair ramp at one door to every building.
The Management team, especially the manager Imelda are wonderful. This place has been cleaned up and lots of special events. My home really feels like I am at a Resort.
So far everything has been good and above the standard. The apartment is very cozy and for a decent price. Move in was easy, the front office is very nice and efficient.
So far I’ve been very pleased with the responsiveness and friendly atmosphere!! The community is well kept and clean! My only negative is visitor parking, while I understand the thought behind it, it would be nice if visitors didn’t have to park on the street during the day. Street parking is very limited and guests having walk a significant distance to visit isn’t very appealing. Other than the staff is very friendly and welcoming!

We absolutely love living in this area! It’s incredibly peaceful, and the apartments are both beautiful and well-maintained. The sense of community is amazing our neighbors are friendly, respectful, and quiet. Even the dogs are sweet and well-behaved, and their owners are always warm and welcoming. It’s truly a wonderful and inviting place to call home.
Would like to feel safer where I live not worry about my mail come up missing not worry about my apartment being broken into you and I shouldn't have to worry about having dog poop showing at my door
The apartment is alittle outdated. The ACs dont work great, the slider dosent slide very well and the handle is broken. So far the the neighbors seem nice. The area itself is nice too, it has a camping mountain vibe, which are 2 things I like.
The staff is great. The pool is awesome. The halls are clean and the staff is on point. The community sticks together like a family. The dogs all play and get along
Overall pretty good. Wish there was better communication on the pool maintenance. I’m not even sure if the club house pool is open right now.
I enjoy the amenities especially the two pools. The maintenance crew has been working very hard to tend to the issues the best that they can as quickly as they can.
Awesome community love hanging by the pool meeting other residents and bringing my dogs to the dog park they love to run around till their hearts are boutta explode

We have only been here for a little over a week but so far the community has been wonderful. Our immediate neighbors went out of their way to help us move in all of our stuff on day 1 and it made us feel very welcomed. We got to meet their furry friends who were very sweet and we have met more throughout this last week! Laundry was a little bit of a hassle because of the laundry company’s third party website being difficult but the customer service line was amazing and they set us up same day and told us if we have any additional issues to reach out to them. I have no complaints as of yet!

Carpets where bad from start but where changed in a proper manner but overall nice building and feels homie moved in with out any problems nice counter tops and having the apartment fixed in timely manner was very nice

It's good. Would recommend. Laundry vendor is terrible. Mail room is often cluttered and disorganized. Fails on promised activities. Most are come to office for a treat!

super easy approval process, super easy move in, friendly, helpful staff.. tons of extra added benefits & amenities and at an affordable price in this economy. Also, you can pay your rent online through a portal even with auto pay which makes it sooo much easier. Not to mention the area is nice and it feels super safe here. I love how dog friendly it is. So far, i love living here.

I enjoy living here, i wasn't sure at first as it was a big adjustment coming from a townhouse to an apartment. That being said I am 6 months in, and I do enjoy it. Everyone i have met in my building and other buildings are always kind and polite. The ladies in the office are always happy to assist or even just chat. They love to hear about your day or a funny thing your pet did or an accomplishment your child achieved. I haven't had any history w maintenance but when they see you they wave hello. I don't have 1 negative remark or experience to express.

Very friendly neighbors, no bad encounters so far and we’ve been here for a year. A bit pricey for a one bedroom and rent is going up, put in a work order for a peeling tub and was told they would come but have yet to do so. Everything else has been great!

I have a pretty good experience living here at Heritage! I feel safe, it’s never too loud, the amenities and inclusion of utilities is amazing, and overall it’s just a nice apartment complex. I unfortunately did not give 5 stars because I have had some disappointing experiences such as car vandalism, the parking situation, the wipes in the gym not being replenished for weeks, the continuous washer/dryer issues, and stolen packages. Overall, we have really enjoyed it here and have always, ALWAYS had a great experience with our leasing agent, Kelley.

I just moved in this month and am so glad I did. Laura at the leasing office is amazing. My building is quiet and always has parking. The apartment is cute. Maintenance is friendly and attentive.

The apartment is fine. I have had a hard time settling in due to two factors. There are emails being sent to everyone chastising/publicly humiliating people for making mistakes/not following instructions. None have ever applied to me and it makes me uncomfortable. The second is this new“city of Manchester coming into the apartments and snooping around with a month notice?“so the complex doesn’t get a fine.”This is an apartment complex with adults in it. I am confused as to why with no warrant nor explanation this is acceptable to spring on people. This wasn’t in my lease and it was never brought up, so I am confused as to why this is acceptable after just having a convo with Imelda about people banging on my door and Proselytizing in a locked building where that should be impossible. I was told“I understand you were raised to be friendly but if you don’t know someone don’t open the door.”The apartment is fine, the leadership is overbearing, rude, and problematic. Beautiful environment lovely dog park. Everybody here is so friendly. I’ve had nothing but a good experience. Also, the Front office team were amazing as well in such a great help

just moved in, already love it. great people, nice staff, quit past quiet hours, helpful people, and amazing amenities. i love the dog park for my pup to be able to get some exercise

We have been here for about a month now and everyone has been respectful and quiet! The administration has been very supportive and has been able to answer all our questions and concerns immediately.

I'm obsessed with my apartment. It is functional and has everything I need. I am impressed with the security and amenities as well. Not to mention the parking options!
