Delaware, Ohio is a bustling community about 30 miles north of Columbus. Ohio Wesleyan University resides in downtown Ohio and brings a college town feel to the area. To the west of the Olentangy River in downtown, you’ll find an abundance of incredible, family-owned restaurants such as Son of Thurman. This local burger eatery has been in business and family-owned since 1942. Another great place to support locally-owned businesses is Staas Brewing Company.
The Delaware Municipal Airport is located in town, as well as three different golf courses and multiple parks. About eight miles north of downtown Delaware, you’ll find Delaware Lake and State Park. There you’ll have access to River Run Park where you can kayak/canoe down the Olentangy River. After you find your apartment in Delaware, make sure to visit local eateries downtown and take a trip down the river for incredible views of Ohio’s natural beauty.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Hayes Colony Apartments
This place is an absolute joke. Do not live here, maintenance will take forever to replace or fix anything, actually they probably will never even do anything about your requests
I am currently on maternity leave with my first born child and what should be a happy and stress free time has been interrupted. My husband and I have lived here 5 years, in this time we have had several issues with our air conditioning unit that took multiple calls to get fixed, had our basement flood twice, had the door randomly stop working, had mantanience enter without warning. Have them try and take money from us for repairs done by our dog when we already pay a monthly pet fee. All of this I have not raised any concerns about. I am aware that things happen. Today, however, I walk out to see our car has a giant green sticker on the middle of the windshield. When I called asking what they was I was first told "the head of maintence" then I was told "the county inspector". This sticker was placed on our car for having expired tags. I understand that in the lease it says street parking you must have valid tags....I wasnt aware that our parking lots were considered street parking. Okay, that I can understand. However, when I called to request they communicate with me via email or call if they have an issue and not vandalize my car, they claimed they had no control and nothing to do with it. And asked where I lived to "know who she was speaking to" instead of asking my name. Which I found very rude. The office never takes any responsibility for anything. This also includes the pool we pay for that is NEVER open on time. One of the women in the office is responsible for opening it and sometimes just decides on a whim that she doesn't feel like it. In the winter I have had to call off risking my job because they refuses to properly plow and salt the roads. All this I have put up with. But being lied to and told I should speak to the head of maintenance. Do you not have a working relationship with him? Why is it my responsibility to request he not but giant stickers on my car? If it were really County related it would say Delaware County. It does not. It says "Tom". No last name. No official title. They flat out lie to their residents and become defensive when you call them out on it.
They moved me and my children into an apartment that had a TOXIC mold issue. My dog was puking up blood! My children and I started getting sick from the time we moved in. They made me pay for the mold test, refused to meet with me to find a solution. We lost EVERYTHING. Brand new furniture, toys, family heirlooms. My children and I were homeless at Christmas due to the negligence. In fact we still are. We have not lived there in a couple of months but are still battling respiratory infections. They are trying to bully me into signing a release just to get my deposit back. Unethical and the poorest management company I have ever dealt with.
