      The historical harbor community of San Pedro lies 25 miles south of Downtown Los Angeles, just west of Long Beach. The northwest section is just shy of the waterfront area of the city, but residents of Northwest San Pedro enjoy panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and Los Angeles Harbor, along with a buzzing downtown area year-round.

      In the Northwest San Pedro area, you find homey neighborhoods such as Vista Del Ormo, which draws residents to Averill Park. The gentle waterfall at the park adds solace to this little corner of San Pedro.       We've lived at Harborview for approximately 17 years. It's a wonderful community to be a part of. The neighbors, the pool and jacuzzi area, the gym, the maintenance staff --- these are just a few of the things that make Harborview a wonderful, comfortable place to live.

      We love it here at Harborview. It’s one of the only places in the area that actually had everything we were looking for: a washing machine, dryer, AC, hardwood floors, fireplace, gym, pool… it’s amazing!

      The process of viewing, applying, and leasing was a breeze. We saw the apartment and fell in love with the space. Not only that, but we were looking for in unit laundry and PARKING, we got both at this place. The parking was for sure a game changer, they give you TWO spots. So far, I'm enjoying living here. Even being by the pool and its starting to warm up, by like 9:00 pm, it's quiet outside. Such a nice change from the hustle and bustle of DTLB.

      Harborview is a great place nestled in San Pedro, it's conveniently located near almost any and everything.       New Management is Great!

      The new team is really great! I feel bad for them since the last team was a mess and left a mess for them. But, this new team seems to be handling it all well. Even if they are backed up they at least do things with a smile and make you feel welcomed. Kudos to Christopher for always carrying that kindness with him whenever you talk to him.

      Harborview Apartments are the most beautiful environment to live in! The surrounding settings are well-maintained and beyond beautiful. It is a safe, gated community.       Terrible

      Management is terrible. They made a mistaken notice of the water shut-off day. Also, there are too many home inspections. (and wrong dates.) In addition, they will enter the house without permission.

      Poor Customer Service

      My husband and I popped over to Harborview to see what one bedroom apartments they had available in November when our current lease was up. The woman in the leasing office told us there wasn't anything really available until October... then stared at us. I asked if she had an idea if anything would be available the month after that to which she replied "I dunno. Sorry." And then stared at us again. It was the strongest "We don't want you here" vibe I have ever gotten. My husband and I looked at each other to try to figure out the awkward situation, and she went back to work and would no longer make eye contact with us. I've never encountered such a rude leasing person. I can't believe this is how she would treat potential renters and clients. I'd hate to see how she treated you once money was involved.

      Good location but...

      The location of this complex is great; it's close (and I mean walking distance) to a lot of things people use every day (i.e., shopping, large restaurants and small eateries, parks, post offices, and more). The complex itself is fairly average in terms of amenities and a bit pricey for what you get. On the positive side, the grounds are fairly well maintained, neat and clean, with lots of greenery. The units (I have a 2 bd/2ba) are a decent size, about 1050 sq. ft., all with patios or balconies. With the exception of the occasional incessant dog barking, the complex is pretty quiet. If you have a unit on the Capitol Dr. side, you will experience a bit of car/traffic noise and it's a fairly busy through-way to Western Ave. On the negative side, the rent is a bit pricey, around $2300 for a 2bd/2ba; however, it is equivalent to other properties in the area that would be considered 'comps'. However, when compared to the comps in the area, this complex is lacking in several areas. The pool area is very basic with just a couple of tables and chairs, no cushioned lounge type chairs. The gym is very inadequate for a complex of this size. I'm not sure how many total units there are but it's a very large complex. The gym, which was just recently installed in the last two years or so is a small converted space of a unit that also houses the rental office. There are two bikes (neither are recumbent), one elliptical, one treadmill, and one universal weight machine. The units themselves are a bit dated (some have been renovated/upgraded as tenants move out with laminate floors and new counter tops). The non-renovated units (like mine) have carpet (no hardwood or laminate floors); no ceiling fans (and they are not wired for them so the renovated units do not have them either); old glue-style floors in the kitchens and bathrooms; tile/grout counter tops in the kitchen; horrible tube/fluorescent lighting in the kitchen; and low, low, end appliances including the stove, dishwasher, and washer/dryer (I lived in cheaper apartments that at least have stoves with digital readouts. Overall, it is a decent/average complex that is very well located. It is currently undergoing major improvements both outside and inside the units; however, this has caused a significant increase in the rent. If you're okay with the cost, it's not a bad place to live.

      I had lived here for 2 years and they have the worst management anyone can have. All water falls are not working and hasnt worked for a year. I have been asking for our washer and dryer to be replaced for as long as i lived here. It takes 2 cycle to get it dried even with minimum clothes. The washer makes loud noise. The dishwasher i have to run 2x in order to get it cleaned. They replaced it last year with someone elses dishwasher.

      Spacious apartments

      Spacious apartments, walk-in closets, washer/dryer and the best part - great air conditioning and heat to keep you comfortable all year long. There are little streams that run through the complex and great landscaping. Everything is close-by and convenient, grocery store, every fast food imaginable and nearby restaurants down by the water.
