National publications constantly place Pittsburgh near the top of the list for most livable cities in America, and it’s easy to see why. The city has a rich history as an industrial and economic hub, which led to the construction of many grand buildings and public sculptures which still stand today. Downtown in particular is rich with beautifully preserved buildings and lush public parks dating back well over a century, giving the entire community a timeless atmosphere.
Pittsburgh is split into three sections by the rivers passing through the city: Downtown (a.k.a. “The Golden Triangle), the North Side, and the South Side. Each has its fair share of attractions and landmarks: the North Side is home to Acrisure Stadium and PNC Park (making it a perfect area for sports fans), the South Side features big, beautiful greenways and refurbished steel mills, and Downtown is where you’ll find the most variety in dining, nightlife, and entertainment.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Greenbriar Village
Pros: Garden-style, most utilities included, on bus line, good size, outdoor access, safe location Cons: Coin laundry, super thin walls, unideal parking, very old appliances, filthy when move in, no upkeep of common areas
I’ve lived in greenbrier for almost 21 years. The management in the beginning was very accommodating and friendly. The overall feel of the apartments/townhouses were clean and nice. It’s COMPLETELY different now. New management allows for just about anything to happen. There’s trash around the buildings that goes uncleaned. People just recently spilled entire family sized bags of Doritos and Tortola chips on the ground all over the street. Parking is a NIGHTMARE You don’t even have a simple assigned space. There are people that don’t live here and work for another company that take the spaces closer to the houses. You can’t talk to them they will argue and yell. Handicap parking isn’t monitored at all either, so if that matters I would reconsider coming here. Management does absolutely nothing. Residents have been complaining about parking for the last 2 years and there’s never a resolution. They just pass the buck. In the summer expect to have you house invaded by house centipedes. They climb on the walls, kitchens bathrooms ceilings everywhere. The walls are paper thing and 4 times I had to physically go over to my neighbors house after 1 am to let them know the yelling and noise is too loud. For how much residents pay, you would expect quality and overall respect for the complex to be better.
I have lived at Greenbriar Village for 4 years now. Kathy, Judy, Kevin, Shane, and Tom are awesome. You get another family with the Greenbriar Village staff. They go above and beyond to make you happy. I recommend this property 100%.
Nice apartments and friendly staff. Apartments are good size.
