Property Ratings at Gravelly Lake Brownstones
Decent but super creaky inside. Bunch of neighbors smoking weed outside, especially on the weekends. Often nervous to let my kid outside with all the smoke. Management doesn't seem to mind folks smoking and breaking the lease we all signed.
My sister and brother-in-law are moving after residing there for 4 years due to a few big reasons: 1) They recently raised the rent $190/month, which is more than a 10% increase. 2) As stated above, although no smoking signs were posted, they do not enforce the policy and many residents sit on their porches to smoke all day long. 3) They had an amazing and all helpful property manager named Loren who no longer works for them, then at the same time raised the rent nearly $200...talk about a slap in the face to your loyal tenants. Unfortunately, we're not sure if they can any longer be trusted and trust between a landlord and tenant is as important as it gets.
The owner of these Brownstones is a crook -- they will find any excuse to keep your deposit --- they will not respond in a timely manner after you move out - think twice before giving them your money. We moved out - our place was immediately rented and immaculate -- I have NEVER had a deposit taken or owed money -- they said they would keep $300 for a cleaning and turnover fee -- they rented our unit within 5 days and yet charged us $1100 dollars for cleaning fees stating contractor turnover has gotten higher. It took them 30 days to even answer our phone calls and have yet to provide required documentation.
THE BROWNSTONE TOWN HOME IS A VERY NICE PLACE TO LIVE. THE RENT IS FAIR, THE LANDLORD IS VERY CARING AND HE IS ALWAYS AVAILABLE WHEN YOU NEED HIM, THEY HAVE A 5 MILE PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT THROUGH THE LOT. THEY ALSO HAVE A LITTLE PARK BIG ENOUGH FOR YOUR LITTLE KIDS AGES 1-13,THE HOUSES ARE WELL CARED FOR AND THEY ALLOW THE CARPET CLEANER PEOPLE TO COME OVER AND CLEAN YOUR CARPETS.THE HOUSES ARE WELL CARED FOR AND THE CLOSETS ARE ON THE HINGES PERFECTLY STRONG, IT IS A QUIET NEIGHBORHOOD MOST OF THE TIME AND ALSO WE LIVE IN A CLEAN ENVIRONMENT.
