North Duquesne Heights provides a scenic retreat but is still close enough to enjoy the excitement of Downtown Pittsburgh, which is about three miles east of the neighborhood. As its name suggests, North Duquesne Heights consists of the northern portion of the Duquesne Heights neighborhood. The neighborhood is nestled along the Ohio River and is surrounded by greenery. Along with forest trails, North Duquesne Heights has several parks for residents to enjoy including Points of View Park, a hillside park with panoramic views of the skyline and Ohio River. There are several upscale restaurants near the river, but for more shopping, dining, and entertainment options, residents travel into Mount Washington or South Shore, which is home to Highmark Stadium and Station Square, a sprawling commercial hub with restaurants, bars, and more.
