Property Ratings at Governors House Apartments
I have lived here for over 12 years and have not 1 complaint I know that’s hard to believe but believe me when I say I LOVE it here it’s vey neat and clean they keep the complex nice and clean and it’s supper quiet. The office manager Misty and the Maintenance team Manwell are awesome . They go above and beyond to make sure your request are met in a timely fashion. I highly recommend making this your new Home and becoming part of the GHA Family. You will be welcomed .
I have had a great experience here! I know they stay 100% occupied and I was on a wait list for a couple of months BUT it was worth it! I love my new home! I feel safe, the office staff is the most accommodating and friendly that I have encountered. My unit is gorgeous with new carpets and hardwood flooring, two bathrooms...idk but I plan to stay for a very long time. I am paying the same price for my 3 bedroom as I was my two bedroom apartment somewhere else in Park Forest!
Overpriced for the most part and constant smell of weed at the property. The walls are thin and I was able to hear all the footsteps and noise above me. My car was stolen off of the property so to say that it is completely safe is questionable. Also, you won’t get your full deposit back even if you cleaned up good beforehand. Look elsewhere for a place that’s reasonable with the rent and adequate space.
When I first went to see the apartment, I liked it, but wasn't sure that's what I wanted, so I continued my search, looking at townhouses that didn't meet my expectations, Karen at Govenors was so patient with me because every time I visited apartments.com I continued to put in a request that I was interested, and Karen would call me every time, so I asked her could I come see the apartment again, she showed it to me a 2nd time with my sons with me, needless to say I had her show it to me a 3rd time, and when I counted 7 closets I was so excited! So that's my new pad! And I'm loving it! Thank You apartments.com Malinda
Out of all the places I searched for in this area, these apartments seem to be good enough. Just don't drink the water or use the washing machines because your clothes will have a weird odor. Please don't expect your deposit back neither. They are really petty and will keep your funds no matter how clean you leave the apartment. The water is so bad that it constantly left yellow rings around the toilet and and tub, but they will penalize you for that. Also make sure to remove the fridge and mop underneath that as well, otherwise you will be charged a fee when you move out. They will also ignore weed complaints. I have relatives who unfortunately still live in one of the buildings. All they smell is weed smoke day in and day out. The area seem pretty safe, I have never been robbed or felt unsafe. With new management, clean drinking water, non drug dealing tenants, this place would've been 5 stars for sure. Cherita
