Gossamer

I’ve been in The Gossamer for 4.5 months now, and am very comfortable. My studio is very cute with a great view, and has wonderful appliances. Gas stoves are a must for me in any apt, and I love mine here. Danielle, Carlos and the rest of the team are great and easy to work with.

I was given a tour of The Gossamer by the lovely Danielle and couldn't be more impressed. It's clear management stays on top of keeping the building clean, which seems daunting considering the number of amenities and communal spaces within the building. Highly recommend not only touring the building but reaching out to Danielle.

Danielle’s tour was great! Even though she is brand new to the company, she was very knowledgeable and didn’t leave me with any lingering questions. The Gossamer is a very unique gem for Portland. Countless amenities, clean, beautiful, and every unit I viewed had a unique Portland view no matter which floor it was on.

The Gossamer has made my downtown living experience such a dream! I was very nervous making the move from the suburbs to the heart of Portland... The office staff and maintenance team have made any worries I had disappear.

I have been living at The Gossamer for just over 4 months now. I have been enjoying my time here so much, that I have decided to leave a review. I love the location as it is very close to my work, and is situated right in between the tram lines for local public transportation. The building is quite new, so the thick walls are a great selling point, I never hear my neighbors at all. When I first toured the building I was very impressed by the quality of the amenities, but also by how friendly the staff were. I was cautious of this and assumed that it was only going to last for the duration of my tour. But after a very smooth move in and 4 happy months later, the maintenance and office staff still continue to be friendly as we bump into each other around the building or at the monthly resident events. After the housing nightmares I have been involved with in the past, I am incredibly happy with my choice. Thank you to Carlos, Thomas, Anthony, Adam and the new girl :)

Everything about the Gossamer feels high end and thoughtfully managed. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, the property is well maintained and the amenities are top tier! The views are beautiful and you have access to a number of restaurants, bars and shopping. We were invited to a resident event there by a good friend of ours and are now highly considering applying for a rental because we left with such a great impression.

The best apartment building/staff you could ask for! The staff member Anthony was very helpful and greeted me with a smile and dropped all he was doing to help direct me through the new building to me. Side note the location is more than ideal with buzz of the city all around.

The staff is truly great but, man... whomever designed this place needs to get a different profession. Lets start with the A/C. Only in the living room/kitchen. That doesnt help you when you need to sleep and it barely works (pumping it at 64 all night still results in a 74 in the morning). The stove is right next to a smoke alarm. Just basic cooking sets that off. And the doors... ugh. They thought they would be cute and have a key pad. Everytime you touch it, it activates and when its unlocked, touching it makes it lock. Sound great? Except when you accidentally brush against the pad with your elbow/hip/bag/etc. Then the lock extends. You've heard of re-inventing the wheel? These guys tried to re-invent the door. The parking spaces are ridiculously tight. The place is also made for tiny people - from the closets to the refrigerator to the toilets. My wife is 5-4 and even she is complaining about how low everything is. Counting the days until the lease is up but likely wont wait that long.

The Gossamer is a very classy building. My partner and I were taken on a tour of a nice apartment with a large balcony. We found all the amenities and appliances very modern. We were pleased to learn that they even have a Tesla in the underground parking for residents to rent at their leisure. We toured 6 different properties but this was our favorite of all. Shoutout to Thomas for showing us around

Toured recently on my never ending search for a place to live in Portland and Thomas was the most friendly welcoming leaser I've ever had the pleasure of speaking with. He was kind, thoughtful, and well informed. I'm not ready to make a decision yet but I will be back as soon as fall starts. Highly recommended!

We are new to Portland and The Gossamer is absolutely ideal. The building itself is beautiful and very well located. The facilities and common areas are top notch - the gym fully kitted out with a great view across the city, the sauna a nice touch, and this must be the only apartment block with a golf simulator. Everyone on the management team is incredibly helpful and very approachable. If there's ever an issue, it gets sorted immediately, no matter how trivial. We cannot recommend The Gossamer enough.

The Gossamer is a beautiful building with helpful staff. Location is pretty solid - close to Powell's, cute coffee shops, and restaurants. Olivia showed me a couple apartments and I loved her energy!

These apartments are amazing and the location of them are amazing! When I did the tour they were VERY helpful and kind. 10/10

Took a tour and the apartments were beautiful. Will be renting here as soon as my lease is up. Also, all of the staff I spoke with were amazing. Specifically; Carlos, Olivia, and Courtney in the front office were all very helpful. Highly recommend!

Ever since the new management took over the common areas are clean, the amenities work, and the office people are friendly! Great location in Pearl with PARKING. Not sure of their names but the girl and the guy at the office are super nice.

Honestly one of the worst apartment buildings in the entire city. If you’re looking for a high-quality building with adequate management, this is not the place for you. Several of the main issues include loud neighbors, tobacco/cannabis/incense smoke and overall cleanliness. When incidences are reported, management asks that you identify which unit the problem is originating from. They will not even attempt to mediate the issue until you’re able to locate the exact culprit. This becomes extremely difficult when cannabis smoke is wafting through the microwave vent and could be linked to any of the units/floors. This doesn’t even account for cigarettes which can regularly be found on any of the community patios. Neighbor noise can also be an issue. Thin walls lend themselves to loud music, conversations etc. Additionally, the elevators and hallway carpets constantly smell of animal urine. The animals you find in this building may or may not be on the leash. Admittedly, the modern appliances, gas range cooktops, spacious gym and building location are plusses to the living experience. Unfortunately, the bombardment of cigarette/weed/incense smoke and noisy neighbors really offset the positives. If management was going to uphold enforcement of the leasing agreements, they would have by now as these are daily inconveniences. Please don’t be fooled by the “luxury living” advertisement. The Goss is decent but there are far better options in and around the Pearl district.

Most common spaces are dirty, trash will sit in the hallways for days. And the coffee stains where the floor letterings are stay for months. Like seriously no one wipes stuff down?

Staff are wonderful, building is great, everything is very convenient for me…. I’m happy to be here

The Gossamer, is a top class and sharp space. From the in-unit amenities (Washer/Dryer, Dishwasher, AC/Heat, Smart-Home Technology) to the complex amenities (Fitness Center, Golf Simulation, Clubhouse, Terrace, etc...) to the location in the Pearl -- The Gossamer is great spot for anyone new to the area for anyone looking for something new.

It's a great building in a perfect location. An oasis in the middle of the city.

The Gossamer is a gorgeous building, my apartment has modern appliances, large windows, and amazing noise insulation (I never hear my neighbors). The building has a state of the art gym and great views of the city from the rooftop, not to mention the proximity to everything you need.

Live here if you want overpriced rent and to be treated like garbage. Go to bed listening to drunken screams from the bars across the street and wake up to the smell of dog urine and vomit every morning.

The Gossamer is by far the most luxurious and quality apartments I have ever lived in, and Ive loved every minute of it! The walls are super sound proof, so you never hear your neighbors, the amenities are amazing, and the staff is very sweet and helpful. Im recommending this building to anyone looking for a safe, quiet, and refined spot in the pearl.

The Gossamer is a new, modern and ideally located building if you are looking for location and fun. It has brand new appliances and granite countertops and good views. Although many of the amenities are still closed due to COVID it has a good share of them. However, the building is incredibly noisy and neighbors can be heard all the time. The building is not well sound proofed and neighborhood noise, street noise and apartment noise make this a noisy place to live. If you are noise sensitive find another spot.

Apartments and ammenities are great. The apartments could be more insulated, since I can hear everything of my neighbors upstairs, everything that happens in the hall and outside. Have EV chargers for electric cars. I was so surprised to know that in a new building like this we wouldn't have that.

The Gossamer is a new and trendy building in the pearl. With the offer of three months of free rent, it's a generous deal for the area.

Amazing location. Super thoughtful apartment design with amazing appliances. Really friendly and patient staff, especially since I have a small loud puppy :) Highly recommend to check out this community!

Easily best staff in Portland! Apartments are very well built. Details, layout options, color scheme, location However there’s always commotion from hallways. doors slam hard, doors are thin and let in a lot of noise. people make noise during quiet hours, dogs barking, party’s spill into the hallways. You can hear anything and everything. Conversations too. no after hours apartment patrol/concierge. no real enforcement of quiet hours. That could change in time though. Good apartments , best staff
