Property Ratings at Garden Living Homes
my apartment smells like weed 24/7 thanks to my neighbours. already address this with management. this is been going on for months! place is lawless
I remember what this apartment complex used to be like 2 years ago. It has completely changed for the better! Everyone is really friendly and respectful to their neighbors. There used to be drug dealers and gangbangers living here. They are all gone. Everything works now. Plumbing is better, electrical is better, trash is picked up. You can actually talk to Management and they will take care of problems you have. The stairs were falling apart and they have all been replaced. There were hornets making nests up underneath the balcony covering that are all gone. They installed security gates and security cameras. I used to live here a long time ago but I left because the place was a dump. I want to move back now, but I need to save up some money first
This apartment has a new owner and a new management team since this spring. My cousin lives there and I’ve visited her a couple times since the new owner took over. It seems like that the new owner is doing major renovations and wanting to turn this place around. I’ve heard that they are putting central AC in all units. That’ll be great especially in Los Banos. But I’ve only seen condensers on one or two buildings of about a dozen buildings. We’ll see. I might consider moving there if they really put central AC in all units, my cousin seems to be happy and said she’s seen some changes and positive energy. I actually met a bold guy picking up trash around the apartments and my cousin said he is the new manager. Anyway, he’s pretty friendly and my cousin’s kids like him.
Last year the manager rarely opened the pool, this summer she opened the pool less then 15 times all summer. The plumbing is terrible, Mold in imbedded in the walls, unsafe electrical, apartments are infested with cockroaches and bottom units are dealing with bedbugs, when you bring this to management's attention, management always blames the tenant. Talk with the tenants about treatment before you rent
Property Manager at Garden Living Homes, Responded To This Review
The swimming pool is open daily during the summer months, except when closed for weekly maintenance. We spray the perimeter monthly for insects, including roaches. We can spray an apartment interior but we must have notice and the tenant has to allow us to enter the unit. Los Banos has had an ongoing roach problem and we take pride in staying on top of the problem as much as possible but we need the tenant cooperation to respond. We take care of any bed bug complaint immediately with our licensed exterminator. If there is a particular maintenance problem please consider putting your specific request in writing and giving it to our on site manager for corrective action from our maintenance team. Thank you.
Property is advertised as having a pool, except now they say the pool can not be opened due to new laws , mandating a on duty lifeguard, yet increased rent while giving the tenants nothing in return.
Property Manager at Garden Living Homes, Responded To This Review
No on duty lifeguard required. Please enjoy our beautiful pool.
