The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Fort Des Moines
I have lived in this complex since 2018 when it opened. I can categorically say that within this last year that this place has become unlivable. There are several residents in my building who are dangerous, dealing drugs and allowing homeless people and other drug addicts to freely come and go from what is suppose to be a secured building. They leave the doors propped open continuously so literally anyone can come and go. The violence has increased with elderly people being threatened with physical violence. Management is a complete joke, they continually promise that things will be resolved or taken care of. Yet it’s been months of waiting for these so called promises to materialize, and they haven’t yet. Several residents have been complaining regularly about the danger and not feeling safe, still nothing is done. The grounds are disgusting, filled with litter and junk left from the random people coming and going. All in all, DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!!
Apartments are lovely. The problem starts once you open your door. Property is always filthy. Secured doors do not work and haven’t for months. No pest control for six months. Trash is everywhere. Not worth the money.
