The location of everything is near by. I love having a walking trail near by! And the Staff are so amazing and accommodating.
I have lived here for about 6 years. The management is amazing and so is the maintenance! The pools are pretty awesome too! The apartments are very big and you will love the size of the master suite and living room! I can’t recommend Forest Ridge and Holly hills enough! Come here if you want a quiet, homey place to live!!
Jessica and Lydia in the front office are friendly, helpful and experienced. Fidel, Kyle and Leo are great maintenance guys and always greet you with a smile. I have lived here for 6 years and I am about to renew for another 1 year lease. It is a place that feels like home. My apartment is very spacious. We know most of our neighbors and several people in the community. We have community activities and the front office staff is trying to arrange an activity once a month.
While the apartments are on the smaller side, management and the price is great!
We have lived here for over 5 years and we love it. The staff is super friend and easy to talk to. When we have issues Jessica is quick to resolve it.

We moved here right in the middle of the pandemic, while I was 8 months pregnant. The office staff were kind and helpful and followed all the proper safety procedures. The apartments are older, but well maintained. Problems are fixed in a fairly timely manner and we have not had many in our time living here. The property is quiet with many large trees, a bonus when you are trying to calm a fussy baby in the middle of summer. The location is wonderful, right across the street from Southlakes park and right next to I35E. The rent is super reasonable, especially for the large space you get. It's definitely a hidden gem of Denton.
I have lived here for a little over a year now and I can confidently say these apartments are nice. The people of the front office are nice and are happy to help with whatever you need. The maintenance are also very friendly, and know a lot. They are happy to help with any issue. The apartment itself is well maintained, and very comfortable. The community is nice and everyone keeps to themselves. And there is almost never any loud noises or parties. So if you want a quiet community with nice people, friendly staff, and helpful maintenance, this is the perfect place to live.
Lived here for 5 years. The apartments are spacious and reasonably priced. Management was typically quick to address issues. There are multiple parks and restaurants within walking distance.
I have been a resident since 2016 and it is a great price for the amount of space you get! the location is also convenient for getting right on the highway too! My only complaint would be the drafts from the windows/ back door causing the A/C or heater to have to constantly run to keep the place at the temperature it needs to be for the season. Other than that, the apartment staff is GREAT! They are always accommodating to any work orders and get them done in a timely manner. They offer specials when you renew your lease for a 12yr term such as a free carpet cleaning! They are good about putting out notices when they have maintenance on the building such as roofers doing repairs. If you are looking for a place with a roommate or two, this is a great choice!
If I could rate this place negative starts I would, dear Lord we have had enough problems to last a life time. From having so many roaches in our CLEAN apartment we have had to learn to live with it, to having the heater AND A/C go out AT LEAST once a month for AT LEAST three days at a time. This apartment is horrible. The foundation sucks, there are cracks on almost every wall, the only thing we have not had a problem with is the water. Every time we have a problem my roommate and I storm into the front office and these ladies try so hard to put on a sweet and nice and caring face that we’ve have a hard time continuing to yell at them about all the crap we are going through. Do not live here. It is cheap for a reason. Horrible. Horrible. HORRIBLE.
The good reviews for this complex are either fake or they never dealt with the front office. Forest Ridge and Holly Hills apartments are managed by the same office. The female office manager is consistently on heavy substances. Her substance induced state makes her irrational as she belligerently has outburst and screams at residents who bring up issues. Female manager engages in Bait & Switch tactics when prospecting new tenants and will promise anything in order to get you to sign. They have no intention of holding to their end of the bargain unless you have it in writing. Female manager also has been cited many times for illegally keeping security deposits and claiming false damages of reports. Essentially this complex exist to scam and extort money from it's residence. DO NOT LIVE HERE UNTIL THEY GET RID OF THE CESSPOOL KNOWN AS THE FRONT OFFICE.
First off, let me just start off by saying AMAZING. To the apartment, to the landlord. The moment I walked into the apartment I fell in love! I currently have a 2 bedroom and it's not too small nor too big. The rooms are sized right and plenty of room for all my stuff. I knew this was the place I wanted to live. The porches are nice and shaded, tons of cabinet space, and a fireplace for upstairs and/or downstairs! For the management and maintenance, if you have a problem you tell them and they get right on top of it. The rent price is great! For a 2 bedroom I was expecting some really high price, but when they told me my monthly payment, I was sold! From the rent to the utility bills, they got me. The pool is ALWAYS clean. The windows have cooling screens so it's never too hot during the summer and the kitchen is a perfect size. Also, if you're a dog lover like me, they have a dog park!! The dog park has to be my favorite part of the apartment. It's perfectly sized. I can throw a ball with all my force and my dog still has room to run and chase it!! The grounds are well maintained as well. And if you need to take the bus around town, you're in luck! The bus stop is RIGHT in front of the apartments. Also, the apartments are right in the middle of everything, not too far from anything. So if you're looking for a long term apartment and a dog lover like me, I would definitely recommend my apartments!!!
As an individual that craves control of each and every little thing, apartments.com allows me to remain independent from the realtors that don't understand just what it is that I need. But "baby, you.. you got what I need". All I have to do is turn on some jams and type in what I want- what I really, really want.
