Katherine, Sonja, Demetrius, Ronald, Jose, Pedro, Eddie, Christina, Beatrice are an amazing staff. Best place to live. I will definitely be renewing. I have never had another manager provide me with her personal number like Katherine has. Everyone is awesome. If anything breaks it gets taken care of immediately. Everyone is so nice and polite. I definitely love this place. I'm a complainer but I have no complaints here.

The walls and floors are too thin and the neighbor’s are inconsiderate with their music and partying. I never slept well. They charge for trash valet service but it is anything but valet. They show up at 9:30PM and throw everyone’s trash cans around in the breezeways and leave them laying there. You are expected to put your can away by 9:00AM or they will actually FINE YOU $25. They for you to use their Spectrum package which was more than twice what I was paying on my own. They for e you to pay your rent via their resident portal and charge $35 service fee, or you can be highly inconvenienced and have to go pay at Walmart or HEB and the service fee is a bit lower. The hot water doesn’t ever truly get hot. I don’t recommend this place.

Great place to live. Here is just one of many reasons why. I'm very impressed with Eddie and Pedro, the powerhouse maintenance team! These guys are on top of it and were get to the core issue and fix anything that needs it. They get it right the first time around. They are very respectful and always smiling and waving at a member of the community. They call me by my first name, and that's impressive! All in all, I feel like I'm at home with at Firewheel

Due to my work schedule, I was not able to be home to receive a heavy package. Management helped me by holding the heavy package for me and have the delivery completed. I have heard the apartments/ managements do not hold receive heavy packages like mine, thanks to them I could have my package in time.

I moved in about four months ago and so far my experience has been excellent. My apartment is beautiful, modern, and spacious. I fell in love with from the moment I saw it. The office staff are amazing. Katherine and Vanessa are the best and always happy to help with whatever the issue. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and well kept. Best of all, it’s pet friendly. My dogs have had a wonderful experience. My neighbors are friendly. What can I say, my experience has been amazing. I visited Firewheel last weekend to look for an apartment close to the medical center. I love that they're just minutes from where I work. I was really impressed with how the complex looked and was kept. Everything appears very clean, new and nice. The apartments I viewed were updated compared to a lot of other apartments in the medical center within a similar price range. The kitchen granite countertops and new appliances were a plus. I am really excited to apply here and hopefully call this place home!
Please note that most of the 5 star reviews on various sites are not by residents but by people who are touring the community and who are give an application fee waiver if the write a positive review. The management has to do this so that they can counter the negative experiences of the people who live here. You should definitely question any company that has most of their reviews from potential rather than real residents. The grounds are not clean. There are piles of trash near the stairwells and in the halls that will sit there for weeks at a time. The dumpsters overflow and trash gets tracked all over the parking lot. The shower water temperature fluctuates wildly over even a 15 minute shower. The management is the worst part of the whole experience. They are condescending and rude. They don’t care about keeping people happy once they are here. They only care about luring people in and then everything becomes about squeezing as much money from you as possible. If you intend to live here, ask for a full explanation of all of the fees upfront. The rent seems reasonable but by the time all the fees are added, you will be looking at several hundred extra dollars per month. And they have clauses in their leases that say they can add technology packages in the future that are mandatory.
These apartments are in great proximity to the medical center and restaurants. The customer service is awesome, the homes are contemporary with newer appliances, and some of the apartments have small yards! The fitness center has a stair master and a squat machine. I totally recommend this apartment complex!
THE REVIEWS ARE NOT ACCURATE, you are given an application discount for each application if you write a review and show it to them. You cannot accurately give them a good review if you have not lived at the apartment. I was asked to screen shot or email the review when it was completed. My review was based on what I saw, but then I experienced different staff with different rates. STAY AWAY

My roommate and I were searching for a new apartment for a while. Luckily one of our friends had recommended Firewheel to us and we went there to see the apartment and checkout the prices. We met Leasing Agent Lacie. She was really helpful. She showed us 2 apartments and the amenities and gave us a good deal. We are looking forward to live there.

This is not a nice place to live people!! We have new management and they are changing a lot of stuff around and not for the better. First of all, it seems like everybody hates you, they give you a bad face and an attitude... they're just nice on tours, when you move here you'll see the difference. They are closing the community bathrooms after business hours, so if you’re at the gym and need to use the bathroom, you gotta go back to your apartment, good luck if you live in the far building! We used to be able to rent the club house, new management came and now we dont! We used to have a lot of fun events, they fired the people in charge and we've had no events. Yes they have very low rates, but have you stopped to think why? BECAUSE THIS PLACE IS SO BAD! There's dog poop everywhere and the common areas must of the times are dirty. Once you move here, they stop caring about you and raise your rate. There are a lot of better places to live around the same area that offer more for what you pay. Right now management is just desperate to get new residents and are offering deals, but just for the new guys, the ones that have been living here get the overpriced deals, seriously, live elsewhere!
I signed 3 leases with Firewheel Apartments over the course of the past 2.5 years, and boy have things changed over that time. Pros: - Maintaince is fantastic. They are responsive and friendly - Amenities are very nice and kept (reasonibly) clean - Offer a choice of internet providers (Spectrum and Grande Communications) - CARES team does a fantastic job of community events to bring neighbors together Cons: - DO NOT LIVE HERE IF YOU HAVE ANIMALS There is a $300 'fee' per pet for....nothing? On top of $15/month per pet for rent, that also covers...nothing? They take that money that one would think cover any pet incidentals, nope. You'll still get charged on move out for that. Oh and you want to stay in complex and change units? Yeah, that fee will need to be paid again. - They do not give you all addendum's when signing the lease I had to terminate my most recent lease early due to a job relocation. Read through the lease and thought it was pretty straight forward. Nope, there's a separate addendum for that. Would recommend anyone wanting to live here ask for all addendum's upfront (even if you don't think you'll have to use them) just so you're fully aware what kind of shady practices they do here. - High turnover for front staff Over the course of the last 2.5 years, 0 people I moved in with are still working upfront - Get everything in writing Lesson learned the hard way, some staff will say something just to get you to go away. - Undersized AC unit in 2br/2bth (or really poor insulation) AC would constantly be running just to keep up with cooling the space - Suspicious activity after hours A few cars on my side of the complex were keyed, packages were stolen from front doors

Firewheel apartments are not bad but overprice. The complex is brand new and the apartments are aesthetically appealing but there are some issues with the workmanship of the apartment, which I have been told is possible because the complex was built fast and that construction was probably rushed. A hallway light fixture that is located in my apartment's indoor stairwell fell over and broke while I was laying in bed not long after i first moved in. I also had a co-worker who lives in the same complex who showed me pictures and told me about the ceiling of his apt cracking down to the wall! he had to move his family out of the apt. The good is that they generally do provide a fast turn around to fix stuff when you put a work order in. Also, I have not had an issues with pests inside the apartment. The only pest issue I had were waterbugs in the attached garage and they all died after pest control treated the garage. The complex feels safe and it is a gated community, also each apartment has its own alarm system that you can set up if you wish to. A con is that maintanence comes in fairly frequently to check apts. and they often come when residents aren't home. You also have to pay a monthly fee for the required valet trash service, valet trash is not optional. Which would be fine if I was home to use it, I work nights so I am often not home in the allotted hours that you are allowed to put your trash can out for the service . All in all, not the worse apt complex but it is pricey for the size and quality of the apartments.
