Property Ratings at Fieldstone Place Apartments
I was lied to & told this property is non-smoking. Everyone is always out on their patios & balconies smoking & management doesn't enforce the rule. Kids run around & vandalize the property because they're unsupervised. My dog & myself have been attacked by 2 other dogs on the property. There are a ton of big dog poop piles all over the property. Management does nothing to enforce the city ordinance nor do they pick up the poop themselves. The property looks nothing like the pictures!!!!

Only thing I liked about this place was the location; otherwise, the parking situation was no good (not enough parking. Too many cars along the road restricting our sight to drive safely), neighbors don't pick up after their pets, cigarette buds everywhere, maintenance was very sketchy (walking into our home without notice), and a cockroach problem when we moved in. Between maintenance and management, I was told 3 different stories as to why maintenance walked into our apt without notice. Items and money came up missing and had to file 2 police reports within a 3 months time. I felt unsafe and dirty when I lived there. I would not recommend these homes.

Our top priority is to create a positive living experience and environment for all residents at all times. Any time a resident has a problem, we ask them to call the office and let us know so that we can help resolve the issue. This includes parking problems, maintenance, problems with neighbors, or anything at all. When it comes to maintenance, we never enter an apartment without giving a resident notice. The only exception to this would be in an emergency situation. Again, we apologize for the issues you faced during your tenancy with us. The apartments are a good size (mine is a 2 bdrm 1100 sq ft) as are the closets; the master has great walk in closet. There are w/d hookups in each unit and machines are also available for rent if you don't have your own. The location is nice as it is very close to a main road (27th) without being right next to it. HyVee, Super Saver, Wal-Mart are all very close as well and Snap Fitness which is only a 1 block walk. You can get to downtown/campus by car in 6 minutes and it's also an easy bike ride. As far as amenities go there isn't much extra. Garages are available and a playground is at the center of the complex next to a small event's building that is available for rent. There is no pool or fitness center on site. There are a lot of families in the community but also a mix of some college students. In the time that I have been here numbers have seemed to move more towards the family renters. Ownership has also changed recently and although I have not had any issues many of my neighbors have mentioned inconsistent charges and confusion on contract details during the transition.
