Evergreen Square Apartments

Seriously i dont know where all these bad reviews are comming from... i was kinda effie on moving here from checking out the photos and the reviews.. upon 1st moment i was blown away the apartment manger the most friendliest person you will ever meet...we got into the apt and yes it is super old .i will say that.. but personality what you suspect for the price you pay.. i was sold on the closest.. which they are huge !!! in the master...so we did have to wait longer to move in they had to get it ready and clean.. which upon move in day .. they did.. the place was spotless... they are quick on maintenance issues .. have had two all ready and both been fixed.. which be warned they like to come at weird times of day... the only cons i have about this place would be the neighbors.. the two that have moved in above us .. have been ridiculous loud... but it got to the point were i just block them out... the dog park.. more like a litter box.. residents dont know the concept of picking up after your dog... and finally parking.. their isnt enough garages .and we had to wait super long time to get one...but besides that this place is a hidden gem... for the price if you dont mind older apartments.. the people who are super friendly.. and the area super quite... i have extended my lease longer... and glad to call evergreen my home..

I was so excited to move into this apartment because it sounded wonderful - a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom is hard to find for a good price. Plus they advertise as being a non-smoking building. On the tour, the entrance to the building smelled like old smoke, but the apartment itself didn't. However, after we moved in, our apartment started to stink, especially underneath the sinks in the kitchen and bathrooms. Smoking was not allowed in the building, however, the people below us (we were on the 3rd floor) were clearly smoking indoors. It irritated my allergies because of it, and no matter how often we complained nothing seemed to happen. They even fumigated the building because of the smell but a week later it stunk like smoke again. A non-smoking building shouldn't reek of smoke.

I moved in here a little over a year ago, and wrote down everything that was wrong with the place before I even moved my things in so nothing would get blamed on me. The carpets are matted and stained, the cabinets are coming off the walls, one of the burners on the stove doesn't work, the ceiling in the second bedroom has a wall length crack that you can see into the ceiling from, and the bathtub leaks. A year and a half later, two of these minor things have been fixed. The landlord is difficult to get ahold of at times, and maintenance doesn't seem to exist here. The complex definitely focuses more on new people moving in becoming happy, and then when you're in they just forget about you and move to the next. My neighbors above and next to me have always been loud, which doesn't really bother me personally, but it can get a little annoying. I have been looking for a new place for six months and just simply cannot afford it. I wouldn't recommend anyone to move in here until they renovate the apartments like mine with collapsing ceilings, and get new management.

My landlord is pretty awesome. Whenever there's a problem she makes sure it gets done.
