Rich in culture, attractions, and talent, Houston is the biggest city in Texas. With hundreds of years of history and people from across the globe, Houston is one of the nation’s most unique, diverse urban communities in the world. Each neighborhood in town, especially the Historic Six Wards, all have unique offerings. The city is great for any age and lifestyle with apartments, houses, and townhomes available for every budget from affordable neighborhoods to upscale living. Houston offers a wealth of attractions and landmarks that excite residents and visitors alike. Snap a selfie in front of Beyoncé’s childhood home or visit the famous NASA Johnson Space Center. NRG Stadium and the Shell Energy Stadium beckon football and soccer fans, respectively. Indulge your curiosity at institutions like the Houston Museum of Natural Science, Museum of Fine Arts Houston, and the Houston Zoo. The Woodlands city image

The Woodlands

When the Woodlands was created as a master-planned community, the developers wanted to retain as much of the natural, wooded landscape as possible. As a result, this aptly-named community features 135 parks, 210 miles of hiking and bicycling trails, more than 1,800 acres of open green space, and 14 swimming pools. The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion provides an open-air concert site, and several lakes and canals -- including the vast Lake Woodlands -- add even more beauty to the community. The Woodlands is home to several golf courses, including the Woodlands Country Club Palmer Course, the Tournament Course at the Woodlands Country Club, and the Club at Carlton Woods: Jack Nicklaus Signature Course. While apartments in the Woodlands are terrific for commuters -- just 28 miles north of Downtown Houston and directly off I-45 -- the Woodlands is no longer considered the bedroom community it was designed to be. Several major corporations have moved to the Woodlands, including Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, McKesson Corporation, ExxonMobile, and Chevron Phillips. The Woodlands is also a popular shopping destination, home to the popular Woodlands Mall, an indoor mall featuring Nordstrom, Dillard's, Macy's, and JC Penney.

Conroe city image

Conroe

Conroe is located in Montgomery County just north of Houston. Since Interstate 45 travels through Conroe and leads into Houston’s business district, residents prefer living in this suburban neighborhood and commuting to work. It’s no secret that the cost of living in Conroe is lower than Houston. The city is attractive to many renters because of the reasonable commute times, and it’s only a seven-mile drive to Lake Conroe, a popular outdoor recreational area. There’s a lot going on in the city – you just have to know where to look. Locals enjoy exploring the Sam Houston National Forest, which covers 163,000 acres of land and is the perfect place for camping or a scenic hike. After a lovely dinner at Red Brick Tavern, locals look forward to a musical at the Crighton Theatre on North Main Street. The Heritage Museum of Montgomery County is a great place to go and learn about the city’s evolution through the decades – and it is right next to Candy Cane Park. You’ll find a couple of breweries close to your Conroe apartment, including B-52 Brewing and Southern Star Brewery. Lone Star Executive Airport is a community airport that provides general aviation services.
