We have a townhouse with three large bedrooms available in the Hyde Park/Woodlawn/University of Chicago area starting June 1st (though we have some flexibility with the start date). The townhouse is available for a one year lease for a total of $2300. The two largest bedrooms rooms are on the top floor of the townhouse. The living room, kitchen, and common area are on the second floor, and the third bedroom (with attached bathroom) located on the ground floor. The two upstairs bedrooms share a large bathroom with two sinks and lots of storage. The living situation would be ideal for a family, a couple who would like a home office, or for three friends who want to live close to campus. This townhome is part of a gated townhome community that has callbox access for guests and additional parking. Features of townhome: - washer and dryer available in the unit - Central AC and gas heating, gas stove, dishwasher, Ecobee smart thermostat - private outdoor space located off two of the bedrooms - two blocks away from the UChicago Law School, Harris School, SSA School, and Booth School of Business - close to the 2, 59, 171, 172 buses, green line, and less than a 10-minute walk to the Metra - near the Brickyard Community Garden and 61st Street Farmers Market - attached garage included in the rental price as well as an additional parking spot About us (your landlords): We are a married couple in our early 30s, and we own the townhouse. We lived in the house until 2019, are still an active part of the townhome association/community, and love the neighborhood! We are alumni of University of Chicago and currently work as an engineer and economist, respectively. To secure the rooms, we require the first month's rent and a security deposit equal to the first month's rent which will be returned once the lease is up. We also require you have some sort of renter's insurance (which typically runs under $30 a month). Apologies, but we do not currently allow pets.
