Oscar C. Hernandez, founder of The Advisory Real Estate + Development and Team Leader of The Oscar Fine Properties Team, has been a Houston real estate leader since 2002. Oscar has closed more than $300 million in transactions and earned numerous industry accolades and designations, but he prefers to measure success through the satisfaction of his clients. A Houston native, Oscar graduated from prestigious Rice University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics before heading to Wall Street, where he had an eight-year career as an oil & gas equity research analyst. He entered the real estate industry after he had moved back to Houston, when a former colleague sought his advice on the purchase of four multi-family properties. Oscar was the point person during the life of these investments; assisting with occupancy, improvements and, eventually, divestment. In many ways, Oscar's background as a financial analyst defines his approach to real estate. He views every purchase and sale through an investment lens. He specializes in using short and long-term trend analyses to determine a property’s current and potential resale value alongside in-depth market knowledge to guide his clients through the intricacies of real estate transactions. Oscar is also known for his creative marketing strategies and events - from open houses, to soiree's to client appreciation parties - and he has been creating and utilizing personalized, professional HD videos to sell lifestyle since 2008. Oscar specializes in Houston’s luxury market but believes in providing a luxury experience at every price point. He tailors his communication style to his clients’ preferences and provides information that is as thorough or concise as they wish. Many people in Oscar’s returning client-roster are busy professionals who are experts in their respective fields, and he’s also an expert that top Houston area agents call upon for their personal property needs or when a listing isn't selling in a timely fashion. He embraces the opportunity to collaborate with other agents on any need that may arise. Personally, Oscar's charitable donations and volunteer efforts include involvement with The Beacon, a local nonprofit that provides counseling, housing, and other civil services to bring Houston’s unhoused back into the community, and Scenic Houston, an organization that beautifies, connects, and improves Houston neighborhoods, drawing out his passion to help shape the future of Houston.
