      Awful Experience—Avoid This Apartment Complex

      I rarely leave reviews, but my experience with this apartment complex was so terrible that I feel compelled to share. From the outset, the entire rental process was a disaster. We were only shown a renovated showroom, which was in stark contrast to the unkempt, dirty apartment we were actually given. The carpets were stained, and it was clear that the apartment had not been properly cleaned or maintained. To make matters worse, we faced constant issues with water. It was regularly shut off, making daily life incredibly inconvenient. Adding insult to injury, we had a mice infestation that was never adequately addressed despite our complaints. The office staff were unhelpful and dishonest throughout our time there. They were evasive about the apartment’s condition during our tour and offered no solutions or compensation when issues arose. Our microwave and dishwasher were non-functional, and despite numerous requests for compensation, nothing was done. Overall, the lack of proper maintenance, the misleading initial tour, and the poor customer service made this one of the worst renting experiences I’ve ever had. Save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere. This place is not worth the hassle.

      Mouse issues

      For the mouse infestation, we have requested 2 times a full revamp of the apartment to Review all apart sides, walls, and doors for holes. First time was on December 7-2023 Sadly we had only received assistance with a mouse trap , and the manger hanged the phone on my face while I told her this is an important and they had to solve this problem ASAP , her answer was when they gonna come to do tour they will check our apartment but when they came they gave us a mousepad trap. Second time it was on January 5-2024 I called them sadly as usual we have to wait tell they clean tour they should check but tell now no one shows up today is January 16-2024 because it is freezing out side yesterday I turned on the heater but sadly I have mouse in my apartment now , I can’t not sleep I left the apartment at night I have a kidney infection and I am sick I am so tired off this I don’t sleep at night I can’t use the bathroom I was in the Emergency Room and I came home to get rest but I couldn’t sleep or use the bathroom because of this issue. Most of the time I leave the apartment this is unaccepted and I will seek legal action for all that. ( my apartment not the only one has this issue my neighbors have the same issue too). Jun 5. 2024 I have the same issue but what they just gave us mousepad traps, this is the fifth time we have this problem but tell now they did not give us a solution about this the mouse still there the whole night I couldn’t sleep , they kept saying it because of the heat but now we are summer we don’t even open the heat . The worst apartment ever I advise you guys stay away from this apartment.

      Good Mid-level apartment

      My wife and I have lived here for 3 years and have had minimal issues with the management staff...all have been very friendly. The location and outside of the complex is very nice, however, the inside is a bit less than hoped for, but still fairly nice for the price. They have raised the price on us over the last couple of years, causing us to look elsewhere. All in all, they were a great starter place for us.

      Great Place!

      The Equinox properties are nice and our apartment is great and came clean. For being carpeted, it is VERY clean with no smells when we moved in. The space in the apartment, along with the location, make the price a GREAT deal! We walk to Cub and Caribou all of the time. It is so nice to have a garage included as well! The staff is very attentive; we had a work order on a faucet in the bathroom and it was fixed within 48 hours, which was very nice. The pools are great and we use them regularly along with grills around the property. Our building is quiet and without noise outside. The ONLY real downside is that the bedroom is facing all of the stores, like Cub, so the lights shine in at night. We bought blackout curtains and the problem was fixed. Overall, I'd recommend Equinox as your next home.
