This place is terrible at conducting business: please allow me to explain why. I visited this complex about 2 weeks before I was looking to move in and had a good experience with the leasing consultant. I filled out an application and paid a security deposit, but was not presented with a lease yet. At this point it was about 11 days before my move in date. I emailed to confirm when I would receive the lease, and was finally sent the lease for review 10 days before my move in date. This lease had the INCORRECT monthly rental amount listed – it was about $300 more than the amount listed on the application I had filled out a few days prior. I reached out to confirm that this needs to be changed before I signed the lease, and I was told that I would receive it the next day with the corrected amount. The next day came around and I never received it… so I followed up. I was told that they couldn’t send me the lease with correct amount electronically because they were “going through a transition." They said I could go into the office, and they could print the lease with the right rental amount. I get there after driving 30 minutes and when I get there I was told “you didn’t get my email? We weren’t able to print it.” When I visited in person that day, I expressed that I may have to start looking elsewhere being that I didn’t feel comfortable moving forward with scheduling movers if I didn’t have a signed lease. I was told that day “the apartment is yours, but if you do find another complex, send an email to Louren and we’ll be able to get the deposit refunded.” My response: “I’m glad to know that is an option.” The following day I STILL had not received the updated lease (nor an update by phone or email) and it was now 7 days before I was supposed to move so I looked into and found another complex. When I ended up emailing Louren to ask when I’d receive the deposit back, I was told that I wouldn’t be receiving the deposit back because the apartment was still mine and I signed something stating the deposit was nonrefundable. I understand that I signed something, BUT this situation seems like it should warrant an alternate outcome where I receive my security deposit back. I’ve emailed the apartment manager and not heard back, and I must say the way this was handled was absolutely terrible. I don’t think it’s MY FAULT that a technical issue on the apartment complex’s end warrants that I shouldn’t receive my security deposit back.

The walls for this apartment are so thin or sound isolation is too low or none. You can hear your neighbors every moment very loudly. it's really annoying. Don’t move here!!

It is very close to downtown and public transportation. The apartments are of a good size and have character. One of the reasons I chose to live here was the promise of well kept maitenance wise, but my AC has not been serviced and my electric bill is over 200 dollars for a 1 bedroom 575 Sq ft apartment! Living in Texas, AC is a necessity.
