I have shopped other nearby facilities and believe the Edison is the best place to live and rent. I love to tell folks how much I appreciate driving up to my floor in the covered garage! Location is a big factor. Anything you need is nearby. . .transportation, restaurants, grocery stores, a variety of stores, a car rental agency is handy as well if you need to rent a vehicle! Although I have moved in only a month and couple days ago my experience has been more than amazing. The staff at Edison is extremely kind, always willing to help by answering my questions whenever needed. They can also be easily reached by email. My neighbors are very nice, always smiling and saying hello. Parking is amazing, the building feels very safe. The location is also great with train and bus stations around together with a lot of restaurants, bars, grocery stores and others.

Less than ideal situation with us needing a new water heater. Maintenance dealt with the issue as quickly as they possibly could given the severity and needing outside assistance. They also really went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable in the short meantime. Very human response that was very appreciated.

The Edison is a nice community with luxury apartments and amenities. There are usually events created almost every month which gives us an opportunity to get to know our neighbors. Edison on the Charles provides luxury apartments and all the amenities you would ever want. It is also very very pet-friendly with a dog park and trails; it has a pool with a lifeguard and a barbecue; it has indoor parking for everyone; it has a well-equipped gym; it has an expansive room with many cubicles and a private sound proof area, all having access to Wi-Fi; it has an entertainment and dining area with a bar and TV; and it has a large but cozy lobby. Furthermore, you can mail your letters in the mail area without going to a post office and you can go to socials without ever leaving the premises. And more... Now how convenient and luxurious is that!

The building has a great setting, right along the Charles pathway. Having the courtyards face out to the river gives a greater sense of isolation from the city, you have a small and natural enclave. The parking is convenient and you an walk to Main Street, Moody Street, and the train station. For a commuter, you have easy access to buses and trains. Management is responsive to requests and repairs. There is even a dog park! The only downside I see is that there is limited guest free parking.

I am not prepared to offer a recommendation at this time. I would like to, but am right now unhappy with the parking increase and the rent increase. Once the new carpets are all in place, I hope to see that they are kept clean. But not just the carpets--granted some residents do not pick up after themselves--but please pay attention to dirt or stains that are left along the common area walls as well. These are my recommendations.

It used to be good but as I started to like it less and less after noticing how management tends to unfortunately neglect the problems in the common areas. Increasing rent prices didn’t help.

Edison on the Charles is a really great place to live. They keep the property in good shape. They were responsive. The place is pet friendly. The property is clean. And they have nice amenities. This property is also a great location if you like to have access to the downtown Waltham restaurants without being too far from the major highways as well.
I really appreciate how well this building is run from maintenance to cleanliness to overall aesthetics. Quite refreshing in this day and age.

The Edison has an awesome amount of great qualities too numerous to mention! It is a well planned community. Location is perfect; it has a wonderful diversity of tenants, and a Staff ready to help with any question or issue. I love living here!
The maintenance staff, cleaning staff, and front desk staff are all superb, friendly, and professional. They all get back to you immediately with any concerns or questions and make you feel like you are a valued resident.

Work orders have always been handled seemlessly at Edison on the Charles. They are handled quickly and professionally. Aside from comiung home and the issue being fixed, you barely know maintenance has been there! Cory and his team are great!
The maintenance team is so helpful and timely about fixing things. I am very grateful for Cory’s clear communication and willingness to replace my dryer machine not once but twice. Thank you!
An excellent community across the board. Everyone is so helpful and friendly. Matt, Kristen, Olivia, and Cory bend over backwards to ensure an excellent experience. All the appliances are state of the art and my view of the Charles River is magnificent.
This is my first apartment experience in VERY VERY long time, and I cannot believe how much I like it.
Everything I was looking for - spacious unit, quiet, common space - indoor and outdoor, maintenance, in unit laundry, fitness centers, location.
I was looking for a residence that managed the day to day so that I did not have to worry about maintenance and Edison answered. I also wanted in unit laundry and access to a socail environment. The addition of the fitness and yoga centers saved me money and the time and effort to attend an outside location. Maintenance issues have been dealt with quickly and well. Location is terrific.
Edison on the Charles Apartments are beautifully constructed. This is everything an apartment should have. It’s an open space feel with plenty of light. Really good quality appliances, very clean and minimalistic look overall, parking garage with plenty of spaces, good location with walking distance to restaurants and stores. Many parks and kids playgrounds near by. Beautiful walking trails. The view of the Charles River is what we woke up to every morning and it is gorgeous! They have a nice gym and the lobby is well done. The maintenance team at the Edison is the quickest response we have seen compared to all the other apartments we lived at. I put in an order for something and they get it fixed by the next day. And lastly, everyone in the leasing office is always helpful and they respond quickly! We highly recommend the Edison!
Moving into the Edison was a seamless experience. Matt and his team were on top of things to ensure a smooth move in. Even having lived almost a month here now, all issues are promptly handled with care and kindness by the leasing team. Cheers to you all for a great experience
2 years of a fantastic experience at Edison. Professionally managed by Matt and his team. Matt is a high-profile leader—a true one. I am so impressed by him. Maintenance is outstanding. The condo is clean and quiet, has a great ambiance, and is safe. I never had an issue here. All staff is polite and friendly. The lovely cleaners always say good morning! The area is great and super walkable. Come, don’t think twice.
I've had a wonderful experience living at the Edison on the Charles for about a year. Kudos to the office and maintenance staff for always being speedy and kind -- they go above and beyond to make this a delightful place to live. My friends love visiting and I highly recommend it!

I am approaching my 1 year anniversary at Edison on the Charles, and I enthusiastically renewed for another 15 months. The facility, location, and staff have been welcoming and wonderful. I lasted rented in 1988. It's been a lovely transition.
It is a great place to live, stylish designed apartment and building in great location and good access to restaurants, food and grocery shopping, as well as great access to public transportation.

There is an extreme amount of noise transfer that I was NOT made aware of prior to signing my lease. Despite numerous complaints nothing has been done about it. I have lived in large/ luxury apartment buildings in multiple states for the past 6 years and have never had an issue like this.
After looking at what felt like a million apartments, I decided on The Edison. It honestly has the most to offer at the most reasonable price ("reasonable" given the increasing rents in the area). It still has a community feel to the complex, but also doesn't feel over crowded in the least bit. Staff is friendly and helpful and the upkeep is great. Would absolutely recommend to people looking!

I’ve been here for a couple months now and I absolutely love living at the Edison! It’s perfect for young professionals with doggos, it’s quiet, peaceful, and just a quick walk (-5min) to all the restaurants and shops Moody Street!
Easiest move in experience with an oversized loading dock and convenient access to a tall oversized elevator.
Management is excellent maintenance the best any where rent is Pricey
Living here is a great experience. The apartments and building are well kept and the staff does a great job of planning events and communicating with residents.
Excellent experience thus far at the Edison. The office and maintenance staff have been wonderful, and the common areas are fantastic.
