East Liberty is a neighborhood with a past, but with exciting changes capturing national attention, its bright future has everyone talking. Top publications have even named East Liberty one of the nation's top 10 up-and-coming neighborhoods. New mixed-use construction and historic buildings like the Kelly Strayhorne Theater and the old Nabisco factory combine to create a dynamic community that is considered one of the hippest in Pittsburgh.
Located northeast of downtown, East Liberty sits not far from the major medical centers at the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University. This neighborhood features a variety of housing options ranging from high-rise apartments to townhomes and historic Victorians. By integrating old and new construction, East Liberty manages to have a modern edge while maintaining the feel of a classic Pittsburgh neighborhood.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Eastside Bond
I’ve lived at Eastside Bond since June and have loved every part of it. The building is clean and quiet, maintenance is fast and complete (James is the best!!), and the gym and pool are super nice!

Dear Resident, thank you for taking time out of your day to write these kind remarks! Not only are we thrilled to hear you're loving your new home in Eastside Bond, but also that you recognize our efforts in trying to keep our community clean. We appreciate your feedback, and we look forward to continuing to make our community a peaceful and worthwhile place for residents!
My mother in law lives in East Bond and we just love the apartment and the team that manages the apartment community. We helped her downsize into a city apartment near us so that we can be closer and visit frequently – we are beyond pleased with having selected East Bond. She just loves being in such a well appointed city apartment full of energy and fun, yet also so full of warmth. Everyone in the apartment team knows her and is so kind, friendly, and accommodating. She has now been living in the apartment 2 & ½ years and we are all so very pleased with her home.
Property Manager at Eastside Bond, Responded To This Review
Thank you for your kind review! We are so glad that our community has felt peaceful and serene throughout your mother-in-laws time here, and that our staff has been a huge part of making that happen. Resident satisfaction is important to us and we hope we can continue to exceed your family's expectations. Please let us know if there is anything we can help with!
I lived in Eastside Bond from Oct 2019 – Sept 2020. Overall, it’s a really nice apartment complex with excellent amenities and location where, upon moving in, my wife and I had planned to live for a few years. Unfortunately, things took a turn in early March 2020 with COVID. Since that time mask mandates were poorly enforced and it was common to see residents in common areas (lounges, gym, elevators, hallways) without masks and the occasional employee wearing their mask improperly. The lack of mask adherence by residents was so bad that the Executive Vice President of Property Management sent an e-mail on Sept 10th reminding people that masks were required. Of course, the occasional e-mails did little and mask adherence remained poor and largely unaddressed by staff until the time we moved out. Overall, we had little confidence that staff were willing/able to appropriately address mask adherence issues and, since that could be detrimental to our health, decided to move out. If this might be a concern for you, I’d suggest looking elsewhere. One last thing…we were concerned about rent increasing at renewal since that had been mentioned in a few reviews previous. In our experience, rent was only increased ~3% at renewal. Overall, if COVID never happened we’d probably still live at Eastside Bond…it’s a nice, albeit expensive, complex in an excellent location. Unfortunately, we felt health was an issue and the value wasn’t there with the amenities closed or being used by people not adhering to mask rules. If you’re concerned about COVID I’d suggest staying away from Eastside Bond until there is a vaccine.

We appreciate you and we completely understand your frustration and apologize for not promptly resolving your concerns. In order to learn more about what happened we would appreciate if you reached out to us at your earliest convenience. Respectfully, Yulia
