Cheyenne is also home to a number of historical museums such as Wyoming State Museum, Cheyenne Frontier Days Old West Museum, Cheyenne Depot Museum, Nelson Museum of the West, and Cowgirls of the West Museum. Eight-foot tall cowboy boots are scattered throughout the city, each painted by a local artist and revealing a piece of Cheyenne’s and Wyoming’s history.
