The dominant feature of Pittsburgh’s Highland Park neighborhood is that namesake park itself, a massive public greenspace that almost completely encircles the residential portion of the community. Residents enjoy an environment filled with playgrounds, sports facilities, gardens, footpaths, bike trails, scenic waterfront views, and the Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium.

The residential section of the neighborhood is full of historic homes and buildings, with some of the finest architecture clustered around the Historic District on the southwest side.
