The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Eagle Rock Apartments & Townhomes at Rensselaer
Living at Oakhill/Eagle Rock Apartments has been a nightmare due to their abysmal communication and lackluster maintenance standards. Despite being a high-priced establishment, the apartments are plagued with leaks and unsightly black substances growing on bathroom walls. Broken appliances are the norm, and the maintenance team appears to be ill-equipped and untrained to handle basic repairs. These issues have persisted for a staggering seven months without any resolution in sight. The management's behavior is particularly concerning, as they are sneaky and utterly lacking in professionalism. Potential renters beware: Oakhill/Eagle Rock Apartments may present a shiny facade, but underneath lies a poorly managed, subpar living experience.

We apologize for the frustrations you've experienced during your time at Eagle Rock Apartments. Our team takes maintenance concerns very seriously, and we’re sorry to hear your experience did not reflect our usual standards. We want to assure you that we've made multiple attempts to address the maintenance issues in your unit. We understand the importance of timely and effective maintenance, and we're committed to resolving these issues to your satisfaction. Again, your feedback is invaluable to us, and we're dedicated to improving our communication and maintenance standards to provide a better living experience for all our residents. Thank you for bringing these concerns to our attention, and we look forward to resolving them promptly.
I moved here 2 years ago and have had nothing but a positive experience. Dave runs maintenance like clockwork. There's never a long wait for issues to be fixed. Meghan and Chloe are the kindest and most professional office staff anyone could ask for. They are considerate and always have an ear open for the residents and have made this place a warm, comfortable and safe place to live and raise kids.
My family and I have lived here for 2 years (on our way out!) and honestly this is the worst community we’ve lived in. Reserved parking is a joke because people park in any spot, the potholes here put those in NYC to literal shame, maintenance doesn’t respond to requests, the pool is never open and I wouldn’t allow my child to set a toe, much less a foot in that dilapidated/disgusting playground! I could literally go on and on! I’ve lived in several communities much like this one and Oak Hill pales in comparison. They’re all talk. Looks great on paper, but once the money has changed hands and the lease is signed, you’ll regret it! Oh, and I just found what I suspect to be mold in the ceiling. I’ve contacted maintenance, from whom I don’t except a response, but I will surely be following up! Do not move here! Unless of course you’re into all I’ve mentioned above.
I have lived here a few years. I really like my 2 bedroom apartment. I share with a roommate and our bedrooms are really far away from each other. The kitchen is really pretty and open. They are taking care of the property really well. There was a balcony that came down and they are in the process of updating all of them! I think that is very proactive. The manager has always been very friendly and helpful. I love the portal where I can pay rent, put in my maintenance issues and where they let us know of events and issues that are going on. I can get to Albany where I work in 20 mins so it's super close to everything too. I wish we had more parking and that the streets didn't have so many pot holes but the manager said they were working on it.
