Property Ratings at Dwell At Kent Station Apartments
Dwell at Kent Station is a great place to live! From the high end appliances to to finishes - we have enjoyed our time living here. All areas of the building are kept up by maintenance staff and Chris, our leasing agent, has always been helpful and attentive to any requests and/or questions that we’ve had come up. Kent Station, the shopping center, is well kept and has its own security patrolling the grounds. Dwell actually owns the area and gives you a discount card that can be used at the shops in the area. Fair warning if you’re considering moving in, get an a/c unit! Apartments can get hot in the summer time and are brightly lit. On the plus side, they’re well insulated and also retain the heat in the winter and can save you money on your heating bill.
Terrible experience. Management not willing to work with tenants to resolve issues made by the apartment staff. Car was towed because the apartment manager Tiffany didn't make any effort to properly check for a parking pass on rear view mirror. I understand its a bit hard to see, but when you say you had "multiple" staff members look for the pass and it wasn't seen that is a pain lie. If you are looking for a parking pass you you would have seen it, I have a picture posted on the google review for the Dwell. Apartment refuses to make any sort of effort to reimburse an unlawful tow costing $360.11. I'm not sure if they are just trying to cover their mistake, or if they are just being dishonest. I would like to be a reasonable but management isn't even willing to discuss the issue. No matter what was said the only response I got was that it's the tenants responsibility to pay regardless of if dwell is at fault or not. Apartment is beautiful and a great location, will change review if dwell takes the proper steps to resolve this issue. The maintenance and cleaning staff are great. I just believe management and customer service need to be revisited. Had a lot of other issues with setting up delivery and having multiple packages returned to sender. Constant notices for eviction for random things, one example is rent not being paid in full since parking prices went up but was not updated online. Another is that you cannot pay rent until the 1st and it takes days for the payment to process so if there are any errors with the transaction you don't know until its too late.
My wife and I were very happy with Telli (It’s spelled Telli, not Tely. If you’re going to criticize someone, your opinion will carry more weight if you can at least spell their name correctly). When we first stopped by Dwell, we didn’t have an appointment. Telli seemed very busy, but took the time to speak with us for a few minutes and made the soonest appointment available to show us the property. When we showed up (late) for our appointment, Telli was respectful and prepared, having printed the unit availabilities that could potentially fit what we were looking for. At one point during the tour, she realized that she had not brought the keys for one unit. She immediately called the tall, young maintenance guy, who promptly brought the keys with a smile. There were a few small questions that she could not answer during the tour, but upon returning to her office afterwards, she promptly looked them up and answered them. Overall, the staff at Dwell seems to us to be courteous, respectful, and willing to help. We’ll be applying soon.
This morning marked another countless morning without either hot water, hot water pressure or both. I cannot recommend living here because of it. Originally, we were told it would get better as more people moved in to our corner. We were the first people to move in and knew that would come with some trials like the fireplaces and grills not working the first week, but our corner filled up and the tepid water continued. It isn't for a lack of trying that the hot water doesn't consistently work -- a plumber has been out twice after which we had some hot water for anywhere from a few days to a couple weeks, but we're now going on almost three months with a crapshoot for our showers, dishes and washing hands. Management has been great through all of this and is always happy to fill us in on where they're at with working on it. It's something that's outside of their control and I feel for them having to deal with residents like myself that are really, really tired of not having consistent hot water after almost three months.
