Fiduciary Real Estate Development owns the Domain apartment building in Madison, WI. My experience living in their building since August ‘21 has been terrible. I would never recommend this apartment to anybody for housing. Property management is slow to act and un-eager to provide excellent service. It took 9 months to have kitchen cabinetry replaced that was water damaged before I moved in. It took 2 months for them to fix my HVAC in the middle of the summer. They kept trying to just replace the wall unit over and over which didn't work, and never sent out a professional HVAC technician. The garage door was broken and removed from the building making it completely insecure from unauthorized individuals gaining access to the inside of the apartment. This went unfixed for 4 months. Theft and vandalism to property inside the building occurred during this time. My girlfriend had her motor vehicle which was parked inside the parking garage vandalized. The building was graffitied and upon removing the paint the buildings windows were made extremely dirty, and the property management has said they will not clean the multiple story high windows, which residents are unable to clean themselves. They have an annual end of summer pool party that property management supplies alcohol to underage individuals at. No service by a liquor licensed business and no checking of ID's, nobody ensuring people are not over-served. I have witnessed this going on at the summer party, as a resident, two years in a row. The parking garage smells like a trash dump, it is covered in liquid streaming from the dumpsters all over the floor of the parking garage making it smell horrible. The building's management is a nightmare and I would never recommend it to anybody as a place to live. I can’t speak to the quality of other Fiduciary properties but Domain is poorly managed.

At times it seems like if you want to live near State St. and the bus lines you're stuck living in a dorm, or if you want nicer amenities and other adults then you're in for a trudge. The Domain mostly manages to balance location and the quality of life. The prices are towards the higher end, but for that you're getting a short walk to everything important and aren't surrounded by drunken parties every gameday (at least not in the building). Solid gym, great clubhouse, no real issues with the neighbors - really the only complaint I've had is the mailboxes are in an inconvenient wing of the complex.

Domain's location is perfect if you want to be steps from State Street, but escape the noisy environment. A good mix of graduate students and young professionals provides a clean and quiet living situation. The amenities are brand new, with laundry in unit. The management is always available and willing to help with any questions. Domain makes my living situation so convenient. I never have to worry about having any problems. It's a quiet, clean, modern escape that is still seconds away from all of the fun that Madison has to offer.

Domain is an incredible place to live. The apartments themselves are huge, beautiful, and very reasonably priced. The amenities are phenomenal. It is so nice to have a gym right downstairs, and on Wednesday mornings, they offer yoga classes. Dogs are very welcome, and they even have a jar or dog treats outside the elevator! Beyond the building itself, the management is the absolute best I have ever dealt with (after 7 years and 7 different apartments in Madison). They go above and beyond to assist and accommodate. They even plan social events to meet and hang out with your neighbors--which is really unique to Domain. I will live here until I move out of Madison!

As a very busy grad student, I love coming home to the Domain. The building is extremely clean, secure, and feels like home. The staff were very helpful in setting up my dream apartment. I don't plan on leaving any time soon! My favorite features about the building are the fitness studio and the 11th floor lounge. I enjoy working in the lounge during the day and having a glass of wine there by night. I also love the bike garage, which has its own "bike garage door" that I can access with my clicker. No need to jump off my bike to ride in and out of the garage. I could go on about how great the building is, but you'll just have to come see for yourself!

Not only is Domain centrally located, but the apartments are very modern and have a great look/feel to them. They have great amenities (underground parking, pool, fitness center, free coffee, community rooms) and their online resident portal not only makes submitting maintenance requests and rent payments easy, but also has opportunities to meet your neighbors and also create/join clubs within the complex. Overall, highly recommend this location.

From the moment I moved in, I was in love with the building. From the floors and the walls to the entrance lobby. Staff are extremely helpful and responsive to any maintenance requests. Really pet friendly and little dogs walking all around. They even have a pet wash room if that is what you are into. For bicyclists there is a dedicated bike room with its own entrance, as well as a bike service station where you can pump your wheels, fix your brakes or do whatever little repairs you need to do! The pool is fantastic and it is fun to sit out in the sun at the weekend with all your neighbors. Fitness center has all the essentials and management are receptive to your needs in getting additional equipment. Now to the apartment - all new appliances, all really slick and easy to use. I have loads of space and I am only in a studio! Shower is perfect and I really enjoy cooking on the electric ring stove. All in all can't be beat especially when you have your own personal balcony overlooking the pool and lake Monona to the south. Even more impressive when you look out from the clubhouse on the roof and you can enjoy the breath-taking view or have watching a storm roll in. The clubhouse is used to throw parties for the residences or can be booked for your own private parties and is full of everything you need. Even a wall of plasma screens for all your sport watching, tv watching or music video needs. It's at the heart of downtown and right next to a grocery store. What more can you want!!
