The community is supposed to be a non smoking environment but it is not - the jacuzzi has been broken 1/2 the time I’ve lived here which is not ok at this high rent - no concessions are ever given

We’ve been here since palisades fire. The facility is beautiful, clean (cleaning crew clean the common area all the time), safe, and well kept. The management team is professional, friendly, and top notch. Love them all! We are in the process of rebuilding our home, but seriously considering if we should keep staying here.

The great size of the rooms is what makes the Dolphin Marina so special. Coming from a home that was 3300 square feet that was completely burned down by the Palisades Wildfire to a 1450 sq ft apartment has been a challenge, but we were fortunately aware of the Marina area since we lived here for sixteen years before moving to the Palisades.

The reconstruction process was not managed properly. The hallways were demolished while we were still living in our unit. The elevators were either out of order or reserved for the construction work. Exiting and life safety issues were ignored. The heat was shut off and the fireplace was closed off, so there was no heat while we were living in the unit. Plastic sheets were installed on the ceiling to prevent asbestos from falling on us while work was done on the roof. When we moved back into our unit, the areas surrounding the unit were not complete. The deck/balcony was still under construction for several months, and the public areas adjacent to the unit were under construction for about a year after we moved back to our unit. The Dolphin Marina now looks good and appears to be well maintained, but the reconstruction process was a disaster.

Marina is definitely outside of where i would typically rent. Of course everyone wants to live on the water but we LA natives know what that cost looks like right? Nevertheless every year when it comes that time to move again I'll peek around and see what's out there and Ii totally got lucky this time. I scheduled a very short noticed tour and made the drive out there. I couldn't believe what i found. I found this community dolphin Marina. Couldn't believe it. Right on the water. Huge huge 100sqft 1 bed floorplans!! Most of LA 2 bedrooms are around that size these days. I took a look at a couple units weigh a great leasing team. Now being in property management myself i have a specific criteria that i look out for cause as we all know just as important as the building and location you also need to consider the management team and their practices. Throughout the tour there was this great chemistry with the onsite team but also amongst each other. Absolutely amazing. When we popped into some of the units i was amazed. I came to find out that they just renovated and not the half hearted attempt like most communities where they have changed a counter top then charge a premium. No there were brand new finished ge appliances. Absolutely beautiful. Super comfortable with the people who will be managing my home and for once i feel like I'm actually getting what I'll be paying for and more which who can remember when the last time any of us felt like that in LA. Super super excited to make the move in 60 days or soi just hope theirs still something left by then

It’s a lovely location. Grounds well kept. Public spaces, hallways cleaned continuously. The BIG problem is management/office staff. If you get anyone to answer phone or even BE in office get ready to be insulted by attitude. They generally treat you as the problem. You are not welcome to discuss anything with them. I felt like a trespasser more than a tenant while living there. The communication they are really good at is more rules for YOU and to tell you they won’t be around for holidays, weekends. Nobody around. Even the management company is unresponsive. There is one washer/dryer for about 20 units assuming it works. At times no washer for 2-3 weeks. Water pressure made my shower useless. Maintenance team very knowledgeable but getting them is a coin flip based on office following through. The rehab plan is a secret. They won’t tell you anything about it but the rumor persisted that it will be torn down. It is one of the last complexes on the marina that hasn’t been turned into a congested dense modern mess. It’s a shame occupancy is high enough in MDR that they don’t have to treat you better. If it weren’t for the insecurity of not knowing if your “home” will be there in 5 months and you don’t mind the attitude, prefer baths and are handy around the house...it’s lovely.

While the location is amazing...this place is FULL of old, miserable people. I say old (instead of sr citizens)because they're all so unhappy and have nothing to do but look for something to complain about. Complaints about the most mundane and petty things are excessive and rampant here. In addition, the apartment units are falling apart inside. Getting maintenance to fix something takes forever and then if you do get something replaced, they use (literally)the cheap cheap cheapest quality available. No Wifi in the very small gym or anywhere on the grounds. Dated rec room. The pool is center of the courtyard and surrounded by complainers. No one even uses it as a result. You will not get your moneys worth here and you'll be disappointed with your neighbors. Not worth it!!

We stayed here for a year (2016 - 2017) and have to say that it's not a good place at all. In the first few months the police were called four times because of a violent tenant, the elevator breaks every other week, as does the washing machine. However, management does nothing. Smoking is allowed everywhere and the cigarette smoke drifts into your apartment, almost continuously. Oh, our dishwasher broke down and it took them 2 months to replace. The place feels old and dirty (they're renovating from 2018, so be aware of that). And then there's the management. They're often extremely rude and always talk down to you. The only good thing about the place is the location and the pool. Everything else is simply awful. Finally, beware of your deposit. They will try to take as much from it as possible.

This place is terrible. Capri Apartments is miserable do not live here. They will fix nothing. They will Never follow up about fixing anything. All the cameras are broken and stuff gets stolen weekly. The office actually has stolen my belongings and denied it until I called the cops and they were forced to give it back and it happened to be in their storage closet. Their phones go down weekly so you can't can't contact them. The hallways are hotter than the Death Valley. Our AC was broken for 3 of the hottest weeks of the summer in 2016 and it's still not fixed properly because it still doesn't work. Our sink has been dripping since we lived here. I am seriously not making any of this up. Everytime we go to the leasing office they act like we don't know what we are talking about. Then they proceed to not follow up. They once tried to call us once and apparently called the old Tennant from out apartment and they contacted us. They found our number but our own building didn't have it!

The Dolphin Marina is a beautiful building right on the water. The apartments are spacious and they take animals! It is walking distance to many restaurants and the beach. The staff is great and staff always willing to go the extra mile!

1000 sft that was amazing with a large patio but their price had gone up and they did have any one bedrooms available, it was an older complex but it is close to the beach. Only thing they were missing was a washer/dryer in the unit. But very nice overall.
