Located along the Rock River in southern Wisconsin, Janesville combines small-town atmosphere with contemporary living. The city, nicknamed "Wisconsin's Park Place," maintains 2,590 acres of parkland across 64 developed parks, establishing one of Wisconsin's highest park-to-resident ratios. Outdoor enthusiasts can access miles of trails connecting to the Ice Age National Scenic Trail, while the Rotary Botanical Gardens offers seasonal displays across 20 acres of themed gardens. Current rental trends show one-bedroom apartments averaging $1,086 per month, reflecting a 7% year-over-year increase, while two-bedroom units average $1,144 with a 5.6% annual rise.
Janesville's downtown showcases the Lincoln-Tallman House, a historic mansion with connections to President Abraham Lincoln, and celebrates the legacy of the former Parker Pen Company headquarters.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Diamond Ridge Apartments
This is by far the worst apartment complex I have ever lived at. First, I’ll start off with the theme we seem to have going and to say that the walls are thin would be an understatement. Be prepared to hear literally EVERYTHING your neighbors do, from snoring, sneezing, coughing, I could even hear my neighbors phone VIBRATION of their phone alarm going off at 5 am each morning. Good luck trying to get any sleep at these apartments. Also to reiterate that the property manager, Stephanie, is absolutely useless (although I think she is no longer there, thank god. I did not get a chance to speak to the new property manager). She would take at least a week to reply to emails, and that’s only if you emailed her twice. The garbage system is absolutely horrendous. The fact that they have ONE dumpster for all 110 or 115 whatever units, is absolutely insane. If you don’t get a spot close to the dumpster be prepared to either walk a great distance to the dumpster each time you have to take out the trash, OR if you’re lucky enough to have a garage you can pile them in there and then pack your nice car with all your nasty garbage and take them down to the dumpster, but you better hope that there’s actually room! Overall, I would highly suggest looking someplace else if you’re considering moving to the Diamond Ridge. The prices are way too high for the quality of living that you receive.
I have not lived in an apartment since 1991 and had anxiety as the search was horrifying. The moment I made contact with Stephanie at Diamond Ridge, she put me at ease. She is so kind and supportive. She answered all questions and offered information that I didn't know I needed. The couple of times that I needed maintenance they were quick, solved my issue and treated me with respect and kindness. I would give them 10 stars if it were possible. Thank you Stephanie and the staff here at Janesville Diamond Ridge, you have all been such a pleasure!
