Property Ratings at Devonshire Apartments
MOLD!!!!! We lived here for about a year and had 2 separate accounts of significant amounts of mold come through the walls. They took care of one by removing that part of the wall, the other they just cleaned and said they would get to it later. We moved out a few months later, so I have no idea what happened with that. I would suggest if you live here and have a mold issue you call the health department! We did not and I seriously regret it. Towards the end of us living here I had flu like/allergies symptoms the whole time. Sore throat and a persistent cough. After we moved out the symptoms vanished! I was sick for about three or four months solely because I was in a mold infested apartment. I have pictures of it on the windows, constantly in the toilets and on the vents! This apartment complex looks nice on the outside but once you dive deeper you notice how run down and old it is. Our appliances were original which means they were almost 20 years old. The refrigerator was way too small for any family of 3+. Our Fridge had problems when we moved in, and it over a month for them to figure out the problem, even though it was an easy fix. The carpet was gross/used looking when we moved in, on top of that we were able to pull dog hair off the carpet with a lint roller!! When we moved in, there was constantly dog poop everywhere, to many large dogs and no one cared to clean up after them. The price on these apartments changes almost daily. It's part of their gimmick. So, if you are going to live in this dump, I suggest you call multiple times to get the best rate. Do not pay! I repeat do not pay full price for this "luxury" apartment. The women in the office act like they care about your concerns but the only thing they care about is making sure Lauth makes money. Be cautious how you leave this complex! Document everything with photos and writing!! They will try to charge you for literally everything. Broken blinds that are paper thin they will charge you $$ each to replace. These are nearly impossible to keep intact if you have kids or animals because they are so cheap. I truly regret staying here and had much higher expectations!

The Community manager and the Leasing Staff along with the Maintenance Team take great pride in the community! Devonshire Has the best Maintenance Team in the Area! They go above and beyond! The Community Manager & the Leasing Staff strive in excellent communication and resident satisfaction! As a current resident, I absolutely love my apartment, the community and the staff here at Devonshire Apartments! Stop by the leasing office for a tour! You won’t be disappointed!
The staff just put on a false personality, the lease terms are a lie, and the apartments are gross. I had mold in the bathroom that they said they would fix, but never did.
I’ve lived here for a year and it was horrible. They screw people over left and right. They suck at notifying people of anything and everything going on. As far as management.. HA! Enough said. The walls here are paper thin. You can literally hear people opening their kitchen and bathroom drawers above and below you. It’s extremely annoying. Do not choose to live here. You WILL be disappointed one way or another.
We originally applied to move in June 30th. Then a week later, in person with the property manager, we were told that we could push the move in date out until July 5th. So later that week we called to schedule that move in date and we're informed by the assistant manager, jessi, that the current residents turned in that key and we could no longer push the date out. That technically we should be forced to move in on the 28th of June because of their '14 days from move out' policy and that they were just being nice. the next week we came by to look at the 3 bedroom (they only allow you to see a 2 BR) and they said it was occupied. How is it occupied if they moved out several weeks ago? And if they haven't moved out, then why can't I push the move in date? It's outrageous. This office staff is uncoordinated and unprofessional. Needless to say we decided to not live here because of all of the games.

I went to see the apartment and liked it. They told me that we can only move on 2 nd of next month and I told him ok. But when I went home my landlord told me that I have to move by 1 st. I called him and told him to cancel it for me I asked him if he charged anything on my card he said I dint then we looked for other apartment which was much better and cheaper then this one. Then after 3 days I saw a charge of 255 usd they charged me admin fee and application fee. When I called them back the person I spoke to dint spoke to me and he never called back, then I got call back from manager and she also said we can't refund any of ur money. This is the biggest fraud happened to me
We have lived at our apartment for a year and they've changed property management twice now since we've lived here. The people in the office don't return our calls when we leave a message for them. We have complained numerous times about our security lights being out. They also never clean the dog stations, they are always over flowing and it makes the property look trashy. This is a nice apartment in an upscale community but the office staff and corporate don't seem to care about the safety of the residents or our concerns whatsoever! We aren't happy living here at all and wouldn't recommend this place to anyone!
It truly is as luxurious as living in an apt can be. Garden tubs, modern spacious living quarters, 24 hr free tanning, safe environment. I gave 4 stars bc maintenance doesn't fix things very quickly.
The apartments themselves are spacious, with alot of closets and space. I really like that the master bedroom is separate from the others. The Garden tub in the master is nice, but does not really accomodate for a tall person. Also, there is only one dumpster in the complex- which is found WAAAY in the back..and it really needs a pavilion or something.
Contemporary with ten foot ceilings give this space a house like feature. Spacious kitchen with oak cabinets and snack bar will accomodate all your guests. Fully equipped business office,pool,tanning spa and gym make you feel like you are on vacation 24/7. Situated minutes away from downtown,but surrounded by beautiful trees and landscaping. Wonderful staff available 24/7 to meet all your after hour needs.
