Terrible business practice

On Wed August 16th 2023, I was informed that my application was approved and to remit payment in the amount of $2,200.68. I paid the requested amount and the $250 deposit to secure an apartment. I was informed the following week that the unit they had for me would not be available, and they offered me a different unit, which I accepted with a move in date of August 25th 2023. I received a phone call from the office on the 24th of August letting me know that they did not have a unit for me. I was again offered a different apartment with a move in date of September 15th 2023. On August 31st 2023, I emailed the leasing consultant informing her that I decided not to move forward and had secured residence elsewhere. A refund in the full amount was requested, of which I have the email chain. On October 13th 2023, I called the apartment complex to inform them that I had not received a refund. The manager called me back and assured me that one would be issued and a check would be mailed to me. Today is December 19th 2023 and I still have yet to be refunded.

Stay Away

Worst Experience from Day 1. Apartment was dusty and dirty when we moved-in. Maintenance is slow and cant fix anything. Management is not always helpful. Buildings are old and doesnt have sprinklers. Pool area is dirty everytime we go there.

Grounds

I love how the guys keep the outside of Derby Park. On a gloomy day the outside is still nice. I have lived at several apartments the grounds were horrible. Thanks guys

Dont Waste Your Time.

I just moved here and there are no lights in the bedrooms or the the living room. The breezeway is so dirty spider webs, dust etc. the lights dont even work where I am. The stove in my unit looks so old and outdated. There are Racoons all throughout the complex. The Patio's are ragedy looking and not secure at all, my microwave is hot glued together. This is only HALF of whats wrong with my unit, If you dont come inside the unit and actually look around then dont even bother.

Poor Customer Service/ Horrible Place to live

Not enough characters to explain the problems that I’ve experienced. The office staff lie and are not responsive to simple issues. After complaining to corporate they became much more pleasant! The apartments themselves are old and run down definitely not worth the price!

Afternoon Derby Park. Today is Friday Appreciation! I am appreciative for the WIFI Cyber Cafe. I am a single parent I cannot afford internet at this moment. I am appreciative that my kids don’t have to go to the library to access WiFi. Believe it or not it’s the small things that count. Thank You

First Apartment

Hello. I usually don’t do reviews but I had to say something. This is my first apartment I wasn’t sure about the area but it’s convenient I’m 15 minutes from my job. Tameshia was so helpful. Great Place To Live

Great place to live

I am a new resident to derby park and am really enjoying the stay and the people. Christine really helped me find what I wanted and got me in fast with no problems. She was able to find what I needed at a great price and would definitely recommend people to this place for residence. AMERICAN ROACHES!!!!

Be careful with these apartments, I was living from November2017 until February 2018, I could not stay longer in that apartment since they are full of BIG cockroaches, and they never gave me solution to that problem, and they did not care either that my babies could be affected by these American cockroaches

Do NOT consider this place!!

Do not spend your hard earned money on this place ! Management is horrible! Please go somewhere else, if I could give this place negative stars I would. 1 star is not enough. Don't even give them your time!

My Home

I really like where I live. Been here since 2010. The staff are very friendly. Tameshia is spot on with any of my concerns. They are always upgrading the buildings or the grounds. Fixing cracked concrete in the winter months. I remember one time Tameshia and staff where out at the gates early morning passing out little gifts. I think it was Valentine. I say it's a great place to live at.

Great Service & Attention

I am going on my 3rd year with Derby Park. The staff is just TERRIFIC. I speak reguarly with Christine. She is awesome and makes your needs a priority! If there is any package you need to have signed for, matience requests or having any difficulties at all; she is a go too person. The Manager Tameshia and additional staff makes its a great place to live. Property is well maintained. I enjoy living here and hope you will too.

Terrible living experience

Yes the renovations are nice BUT Management doesn’t seem to care about issues you may have, they’re never solved in a timely manner, you’ll have to see how to solve them yourself! I’m glad my time here is almost over

Too many issues

We have lived here for a few years.. management has NEVER been helpful. Shortly after we moved in, there was a roach issues that we had to solve ourselves. There has been flea & tick issues, once again we had to solve ourself. Gate hasn't worked about 80-85% of the time that we've live here. There is never parking especially if you work late. Yes they are doing numerous updates but there is still numerous safety issues that not been resolved such as flooding, cracks in the sidewalks or lots (having tripped several times). As soon as our lease is up, we'll be moving. I wouldn't recommend this complex to my worst enemy.

Terrible Management

RUN, dont just walk away from this place!! Management is absolutely terrible, they do not care about their tenants at all. We had a flea infestation on our first floor floor apartment for approximately 6 weeks. We don't have any dogs or cats, they showed up because all of our neighbors had pets and we had to pay the price. It took management 3 weeks to get a pest control service out to us and we had to spend money out of our own pocket to have the problem fixed. the outside stairs had a major dip at the bottom which would become filled with mud every time it rained. Our neighbor fell one time and they still wouldn't fix the problem. Instead they would take a few days to clean the spot even though it presented a huge risk to everyone in the building. I wish i could give them a zero star. Save your hard earned dollars and don't waste your time on this place. They will never care about their tenants.

Needs updates

When we moved into our apartment complex (being first time renters) we loved it and felt it was very reasonably priced. We have lived here almost 2 years now and everything is just starting to fall apart. It is so outdated compared to other apartments. I feel they need to install new appliances. Other than that it will do for now.

Great Location and Large Floor Plans

The location of the apartment complex is very convenient to Hwy 30, Hwy 360 and George Bush Tollway. And only minutes away from the DFW Airport as well. The apartment complex also have very large floor plans, which includes a fireplace, full-size washer and dryer connections and patio storage areas.

Not to bad

Apartment's are older but pretty nice for the price. Nice and quiet. If you have kid's it's great cause there are a lot of children around. Under new management so up grades or coming.

Derby Park Apartments

Top notch repairs in a mannerly time. Landscaping always beautiful! Staff very positive when communicating with them. We have easy access to Dallas, Garland, Coppell, Irving, Mansfield, Grapevine, HEB area, Arlington and Ft Worth. The rental rates are very low. I have been in this gated community for 15 years and am proud to call Derby Park my home.

Easy access to major highways. Great space, not tight. Beautiful landscaping. My maintenance well maintained. Been here 7 years.
