Property Ratings at Denim Scottsdale
Everything our amenity fees go towards is out of commission or in unusable condition. Front gate has been broken for months - vagrants, addicts and coyotes wander in overnight frequently. There is a dangerous, huge crack running through the basketball court, the pool is locked with no explanation, the pool TV doesn’t work, the grills don’t work, etc etc
Called in 1 week ago. My sink in my kitchen is clogged and I cannot use it. I wake up Saturday morning to this review acting like it was completed. Call front desk and she said it was marked done. No one came in my apartment. No note was left and I am now out of a sink for another weekend. And since it’s Labor Day weekend they won’t be back in until Tuesday. Don’t make your tenant suffer because you changed management
Location is great. Constantly raising rent when they do not fix or replace broken amenities at all or in a reasonable time frame.

Denim Apartments is a great complex. Parking is well lit and it's close to just about anything you need. The biggest attraction for me as always is management! If the people in charge care, you can bet that good things follow such as upkeep! We have a great manager MILOSZ! People love him due to his commitment to our community's needs! He's always kind and busy but manages to take care of all of us and even follows through with a call!

Leasing process from application to approval as well as move-in went smoothly. The leasing staff were especially commendable for their great customer service. Safe, clean, pest free. Office open 7 days. Pools, exercise room beautiful. Maintenance staff friendly and seen around the property. Residents, mixed ages, mature behavior. Centrally located close to Old Town. Like a village. I just renewed my lease. Very happy here.

Love the location in Old Town, and for the price we have access to pretty good amenities. The 2-bed is very spacious. Office staff is easy to get ahold of and very kind, understanding and professional.

The only pro to this place is the location in old town and that’s all you’re paying for. Extremely outdated apartments. I lived in an “updated” unit. The only thing updated were the appliances…cupboards were essentially plywood that flaked wood when you rubbed them. Cupboard doors that were poorly attached. I moved in and had issues w bugs. They said they would spray but rather than spraying they gave me glue bug traps to put up throughout the apartment. The windows are paper thin and leak hot air during the summers jacking up your energy bill. Walls are paper thin. They make you pay for a locker system that they don’t enforce. Delivery drivers leave your packages laying out in their package room for anyone to take (hundreds of packages!)…they have four pools but all four of them are dirty…the cold plunge has bugs floating in it. The maintenance team is under qualified…I had a person come to swap out my washer/dryer unit and the guy almost burnt down the apartment…the duct work between the dryer and the wall went up in flames and I had to grab water from my tub to toss on the wall to put it out. He was going to leave the half burnt unit in my apartment until the next day because it was the end of his shift…the unit still smoking. I demanded that he take it out of the apartment and thankfully he did. They touted a “going green” initiative which consisted of change out the lightbulbs in the apartment and putting in an auto diverter in the bath tubs which sends the water to the shower head when it’s warmed up. You pull a string to get the shower to turn on then…the string broke within the first week. Why not replace the windows or the AC units which are old and outdated? They do have dog parks which were nice… But the main park would often have the water shut off during the summer so there would be nothing for the dogs to drink. We called the office a number of times regarding this and they blamed it on maintenance and that it would be turned back on…same issue over and over. The dog parks in the back were more dirt than grass. A friend of mine had her car stolen from the parking lot. The gates were always malfunctioning and the brick wall in the back had a section missing for an extended period of time. At one point i saw an RV parked in the back of the parking lot. I endured this for two years because the location was great. They were going to raise my rent another 200 and couldn’t justify it. After moving out they tried to Nickel and dime me for painting

Dear Ben - I am sorry that you were not happy with your move out charges. I was willing to work with you and reduce the charges as I was trying to discuss with you when you decided to abruptly end our call. We did provide you with the photos of the move out charges and the \"rule of thumb\" is the apartment homes needs to left in the condition it was received. Denim has been going through a multi million dollar renovations since 2018 which does include the interior units, as well as exterior renovations. They include quartz countertops, new cabinet faces, new stainless steel appliances, first floor units with plank flooring except for bedrooms, upgraded plumbing and lighting fixtures. Regretfully the pandemic has slowed down some other exterior upgrades as its challenging to get the materials and the work force has had a shortage of vendors to get the work performed. The back wall that was knocked down in a driving incident was replaced within 2 weeks. I was not here at the time of the new washer dryer being installed in your unit that did malfunction when it was plugged in, but I was informed that it was quickly resolved with very minimal damage. Denim is a 40 year old community, but it has great amenities which will in the future continue to see other exterior renovations that were placed on hold, but the location is great, we never have complaints about the cleanliness of the property or the pools, and we have two amazing fitness centers with a dog washing room as well. I love living in this apartment complex! The apartments themselves are really nice and spacious for the cost. The front office is extremely professional and always assists me immediately if there is an issue. Maintenance comes as soon as possible and is very quick when getting things done!

Beautiful place filled with extras that make life easier, fun and enjoyable to come home too. Staff, management truly cares about its tenants. Constantly improving grounds and buildings. I love the perk of having a smart rental home. Not to leave out it works well with my smart gadgets. AND their constantly adding things. My gas tank stays full cause anything I need is around the corner. And I mean anything! Infected I have a golf course out my backdoor. It's got a pond with a geyser and ...get this its also a bird reserve for you photo buffs. So that's all for now but don't forget to ask about our pet salon!

I’ve been a tenant at Denim Scottsdale for a few years. I really love the apartments. They are well built. I hardly ever hear a neighbor, they are comfortable and trendy. The maintenance people are great, friendly and do a good job. The management, and office staff are amazing, including Milosz. He is fantastic, professional, and great at his job. All the staff have been great to me here. I’ve never been in any apartment in my life that had staff and management as nice as they are at Denim Scottsdale. It’s a gated community with tons of parking. There are several dog parks and one very large dog park. They care very much there about people having a positive experience with their pets and will go above and beyond for it. It’s close to Scottsdale old town, and right across the street is a great park called Osborn Park. There are golf courses within walking distance too. I feel safe here, and like I matter, and am not just a number. It’s a convenient location to enjoy Scottsdale. Thank you, Denim Scottsdale, for a great living experience. Ive only been here for 3 weeks but its been amazing. Everyone at the office is friendly and get things done. They really seem to listen to your concerns. Maintenance is thorough and professional. Ive had some problems with deliveries but I think thats more on the carriers side. Overall, glad I chose to live here.

Denim has great amenities and an amazing location. It is so close to so many restaurants, bars, parks, and is right next to a golf course and bike trail. There is a great sense of community and it feels extremely safe.

Denim Apts has been a close knit community located in Scottsdale. Everthing is close including shopping and entertainment. The staff goes out of their way to provide excellent service. It's an animal friendly community which really makes it fun. The apartments are spacious. There's two gyms an Olympic size pool and so much more. Improvements are always being made. It's a great place to live!

I fell in love with Denim Scottsdale at first sight!! Outstanding everything and I love it here!!! Accessible too all my local shopping! Wish they had bikes too check out to ride around! I love it here!!! Clean and insect free place. I can not even find an ant.

People and office staff are very friendly. Many different age groups live in my area. Sometimes it gets loud and busy because I am near back exit gate to green belt walk way.

I havent had any problems living here. Rates are very reasonable compared to most of old town area. Amenities are great here, no complaints so far Ive been living here for 1.5 years.

My wife and I moved from Oregon to Arizona to start our lives fresh, be with family, and start our own. Denim Scottsdale's staff were THE best at maintaining professionalism, and positivity in any contact we had with them. They were incredibly insightful about the area, the amenities, the apartments, the pricing and offered everything before I had any concern about whether or not I needed to ask for information. Their communication is similar to a 5 star hospitality, only - better because they're actually nice and actually care. We brought our animals, we brought our concerns - all accepted, acknowledged, and handled in a polite and kind manor. I really can't find the words to speak more highly of this place, I love the area, and after having lived here for a short while, we've very quickly learned how great a decision it really was to choose this community specifically. Of course we looked around. it's the digital age. End your search here, and apply. We'd love to have you as neighbors! :) Also as a side-note, I rarely leave reviews. I really wanted to leave a good one for this place because it means they deserve it. I hope you can see that through reading this.
