Property Ratings at Deer Crossing Apartments
Deer Crossing Apartments was the first place where I lived on my own. When looking for somewhere to move I was only 19 years old with no rental history. I was on the search for the cheapest apartment I could find. I knew going into it I wasn’t going to get a high quality apartment or services. With that being said, I think Deer Crossing Apartments was a good first apartment for me! The floor plan has decent space in each room with lots of closet space. The apartment is quiet and worked well for me. They also accept pets which is hard to find in West Bend with the Stockhausen’s owning everything and not allowing pets. Annoying. So I was stoked! And there was no monthly pet fee just the $250 deposit! Now for the not so good stuff - there are washers and dryers on each floor (there’s 3 floors) but none of them work well enough for me to waste money on them. For two years I’ve gone to do laundry at family members houses. I also used to order a lot of packages until 2 of them were stolen from the lobby. I talked to the building manager (Sharon - she’s so sweet) and asked if I could put cameras up but that was a no go. I called the police and filed a report then started to get my packages delivered to my moms. I’ve also noticed that there are ALWAYS police officers here. I didn’t notice this much in my first year here but the second year it was like a daily thing. They are often parked outside of the building too. I wonder what’s going on? In the winter the entire parking lot is like an ice skating rink this is mostly due to nobody moving their cars in order for a plow to get in. They started to threaten lease violations for not moving your car by a certain time. (Not sure if they enforce this - I wasn’t taking the chance) Overall - if you’re looking for a cheap but decent apartment and don’t mind not having extra amenities and you have fur babies this is a good choice! It used to be reserved for only elderly so there are still quite a few elder residents here and they are all very sweet. I think with a little refurbishment and better security this place would be perfect! Thanks for taking me in Deer Crossing Apartments.
