Located along the Spokane River in eastern Washington, Spokane combines city living with outdoor recreation opportunities. Downtown's 100-acre Riverfront Park, transformed after Expo '74, features walking trails, the restored 1909 Looff Carousel, and views of Spokane Falls. Housing options span from historic properties in Browne's Addition to newer developments in Kendall Yards. Current rental rates range from $1,046 for studios to $2,364 for four-bedroom units.
The city centers around its natural landmarks and cultural institutions. The University District, home to Gonzaga University, enhances the area's educational landscape. The restored Davenport Hotel and Fox Theater represent the city's architectural heritage. Residents enjoy access to numerous lakes and rivers, with Mount Spokane and four additional ski areas within reach.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Dakota Flats
The apartment itself is just fine, but!!! Here's the list. *Fire suppressant system springs a leak in our apartment. The emergency phone line doesn't accept any phone calls. *Shots fired on property.(2 45's) Sheriff and Spokane area cops respond along with Fire engine and ambulance crew. We report to management and they claim they have no knowledge and dismiss our concerns. *Our truck has been vandalized twice while on property. Management makes no changes to security. *Zero insulation between units. We can hear our neighbors coughing through the walls. The neighbors just walking around above us is SO loud! This place is a major disappointment and enduces major anxiety because of this living situation. It's not safe here. DO NOT SIGN A LONG TERM LEASE.
This place looks nice, and has a great layout. Especially the master bath in the two bedroom units. Unfortunately, corners were cut during construction in the insulation between apartments. I specifically asked about this prior to move in, and was told it's not really an issue. In actuality there is no insulation between apartments, and you can hear everything going on with your neighbors. I can even hear the people who live above my neighbors. Another area of concern is the staffs unwillingness to enforce their own policies. Especially in regards to the no smoking policy. Many of my neighbors smoke either inside or at their door. With the way the exhaust venting is located if I don't have them on the smoke just comes into my apartment. When I asked the office to address this they told me if I couldn't identify who was smoking they weren't going to do anything. I plan on moving out soon, and can't recommend this place unless you don't care about noise or smoke. I really wanted to like this place, but with the cost to live here a person shouldn't have to deal with this stuff. Save your money.
