Cyan/PDX continues to be the finest place I have ever resided. I have now passed another birthday here and this is a good time to take stock of the growth I have made as a person while being resident here. The management and staff have been successful in fostering safety and connection in the community. One of the ways that has happened was with the Pride event of games and barbecue on July 11th. We had wonderful food, music, games and I met remarkable people. I got reminded of the goodwill and kindness of the staff. I felt like our community is a microcosm of a peaceful and loving society of people celebrating our vast diversity and embracing giving and receiving love. What a world it would be if it were more like what we have going at Cyan/PDX. I feel gratitude every day that I made the decision in late 2020—after reviewing over 350 communities to be here. My intention is to stay here for the duration. This has truly become home and these people family.

I’ve been living at Cyan PDX for about a 2 years now, and overall it’s been a good experience. The location is honestly the best part—being right in downtown Portland means I can walk to restaurants, coffee shops, and the waterfront in just a fewi minutes. The building itself is modern, with big windows that bring in a lot of natural light, and the layouts feel pretty open compared to other apartments I toured

The building itself and location may be nice, but the lack of responsive management and multiple maintenance issues during move-in made this a frustrating experience. My car was damaged while parked in the garage but no response from either building management or City Center Parking regarding the incident and lack of security camera footage assistance. While staff members are pleasant and friendly to interact with, response times for serious issues have been disappointing.

Building is cute, leading managers are nice, units are beautiful, and the view is great but there were lots of delays in signing my lease and getting a parking space takes forever

Great building, great front desk staff. Building is poorly maintained. Horrendous community manager (Jael) who hides in office and does not work to address resident issues. Get cookie cutter responses from communications with said community manager instead of thoughtful responses. Her apathy is a perfect match for a company like Grey Star.

Our Leasing Team works at the front desk while the Management Team members work in the Management office, which is accessible to residents but not always as visible as our Leasing Team. The apartment was a bit overpriced for what my rent was but the staff was friendly. My only concern was that sometimes maintenance didn’t take my issues seriously. My dishwasher makes an awful high pitch whine every time it runs and there was black mold in my washer that I was told was “part of the wear and tear”.

Good apartment, feeling its age a bit bit staff are super friendly and helpful. The apartment appliances are small (refrigerator, freezer, washer, dryer) even in the two bedroom units. If you’re ok with small appliances and some wear and tear, Cyan is fine.

Overall a great location to be apart of the community. In the middle of great weekly events like the farmers markets and the waterfront is just a few blocks away. My main issue is other residents don’t keep the complex clean. The dumpsters get overloaded quickly with boxes not being broken down and residents leave trash in common spaces like the elevator and lobby or throw trash out the windows.

We really enjoy living here at Cyan Pdx. Anytime there’s an issue, maintenance fixes it quickly, the front desk is always so kind, and the residents are friendly. The only real downsides we’ve come across are the deliveries/mailroom difficulties and the parking lot. The Amazon hub is too small for how many people live in the building which causes an overfill of deliveries and packages to be left out in unsecured areas to be stolen occasionally. The parking lot has had many occasions of theft and vandalism. We understand the parking lot is not directly owned by the apartment complex, and the parking structure has tried to fix these problems, it’s just a downside to living in downtown Portland.

Life at Cyan/PDX just gets better and better! There are improvements all over the community, from new carpet on all floors, new flooring in the elevators, and an addition of a new staff member who is such a kind and friendly person. It is a joy to interact with the staff, the property manager, the maintenance personnel, and the community events are lovely places to interact. It has felt so good to share my photos of my place. On a clear day, I can see Mt. St. Helens and Mighty Tahoma (Mt. Rainier), over 100 miles away! These days, there's a nice energy of activity at all the restaurants, food trucks, and cafés, including those at Portland State University...and spring is getting near and the cherry blossoms along the Willamette will be blooming. I feel gratitude every day that I found this paradise in downtown Portland. It feels so good to host numerous friends as visitors from out-of-state. You will be hard-pressed to find a better value in a community anywhere in the region!

The leasing staff are amazing and the building is well-kept. The only issue is the outside area can be pretty loud at night but that is to be expected in a downtown area of a city. I've loved living here for the last two years.

The parking could be better but other than that everyone is friendly and we have really enjoyed living here for the past 2 years. We appreciate all the community events

Without a refrigerator for a month!

Cyan has taken over a month to repair a broken refrigerator which is considered an essential appliance. It is STILL not fixed! This should have been replaced within a week! They do not care about tenants. I do not recommend Cyan, there are much better apartments that actually do required maintenance.

The team really cares about the residents. When you talk to them they listen and do what they can to help. I also really like the floorplans.
