The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Crown Heights Apartments
Great place to live. Staff and neighbors are nice. Pet friendly. Not super noisy at night either! If you are looking for comfortable, affordable housing, this is for you!
I love my apartment just not the neighbors upstairs extremely loud. Great community and love the fact that my children are safe and attend an amazing school

Thank you for your review! We are glad to hear you are loving your new home!
Happy with apartment. I dislike how thin the walls and floors are, I can hear my neighbor below me snoring that's how thin they are. I run a fan 24/7 to block out noise. In conjunction, I hate the guilt I feel just walking around my own apartment because the floors creek everywhere you walk and I know can be heard below. So happy with the washer and dryer replacements, my clothes don't smell burnt when they come out of the dryer anymore. However, others don't treat the facilities nicely and aren't considerate of others. Will leave the place a mess or leave their clothes for days down there. Dogs - handful of people don't clean up after their dogs. I've stepped in dog waste at one point. In addition, there are people that leave the gate open (I'm pretty sure out of spite) on the side without a dog waste basket and it's super infuriating to constantly have to walk over to close it.
This apartment offers a comfortable and practical living space for anyone seeking a decent place to call home. The layout is functional, with a moderately sized living area, clean kitchen, and a bedroom that fits a queen-sized bed comfortably. Natural light fills the space during the day, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. While the building itself is a bit dated, maintenance is generally responsive and helpful. The location is convenient—close to public transportation, grocery stores, and a few local cafés. Noise levels are relatively low, and neighbors are polite. There are no luxury finishes, but everything works as expected. It’s not fancy, but it’s dependable and reasonably priced for the area. Perfect for students, young professionals, or anyone looking for a no-frills, solid apartment in a decent neighborhood. Overall, a good value for what you get.
Was easy move in process! Really like the place! Nice and clean! The people are great! I love the pool and the peacefulness. I’m glad we chose here to move into!
It's been more than 4 years I belong to our community. Nice and quiet place to live.Great and respectful neighborhood.Great, understandable and respectful staff.
Great experience off the start friendly staff. Showed up the same apartment we moved into quick and honestly easy. They walk you through step by step and really treat there tenants with respect and honesty
Put up a refundable deposit and then my medical issues prevented me from moving in. Requested my deposit back and a month later STILL NO REFUND!!! I’ve called, emailed and called corporate.....STILL WAITING!!!! These people are a joke!!!!
Do NOT rent from this place. They refused to waive a $75 late fee even though someone in their office specifically said "I'm fine as long as I make the payment before midnight." Well I did exactly that with no issues for several months but then they refused to waive a late fee based on the payment system delaying the payment, etc. and I should've read the info. on the website in their payment system. For someone who has been paying on time since I've been in this rat hole I would think they would be able to be considerate and clarify things for me instead of one of their staff flat out lying to me or misinforming me that as long as its before midnight its fine. Also, the last complex I was at constantly had cops dealing with noisy misfits in the apartments including police kicking in the doors of a neighbor. I highly recommend staying away from this place at all costs. I'm definitely not going to be renewing my lease this time. I've had it with these people.
I contacted this property through apartments.com. Crown Heights called back, quoted me a price on a 2 bdrm & I scheduled an appointment for a tour. However, at my appointment I was told the rent was $250/month more than what I was quoted the day before. When I asked about the huge difference, the associate was rude & dismissive. She said that the rental prices change daily & asked that I not waste her time if I couldn't afford to live there. I was hoping that new management & some renovations would help me overlook the sketchy reputation of this complex, but I see it's still pretty classless.
I wish I could leave less than one star. The entire time I was there was miserable and could not wait to move out. Honestly, I wasn't even going to review how bad it was until they stole $100+ from me. I had a signed written statement from them stating I would be moving out on the 2nd of the month. I asked what I was supposed to do with the keys and I was told to leave them on the counter. Long story short, they charged me for five days that I was not living there and their reason was, "Not everyone moves out on the day they say". Would have taken them to court and would have won, but I just could not rid myself of being associated with such a terrible apartment. The people that live there are all shady. The people in the apartment above me constantly walked around at all hours of the night. Which is not an issue, but if you can hear every single step the person takes because of the creaking boards, it does get a little tiresome. The smell of marijuana constantly leaking through the vents from neighbors and dog poop all over the ground. If you walk off the sidewalk it is like walking through a minefield. Dumpsters constantly full with trash all around it. Office hours a merely a suggestion as I would show up 30 min before or after a lunch with no one being there. Try to call, with no response to that either. It was seriously the worst experience I have EVER had and would not recommend this place to anyone. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.
The office staff is either not in the office during the hours they are supposed to be, not answering the phone or emails, or saying they will get back to you but never do. Unprofessional and immature when you do finally find someone to speak to. Everything bad that could have happened here has happened.
Management has always treated me fair. The grounds are always maintained. And trash is emptied every Monday. I'm pretty happy with this apt.
I've lived here for about four years now,and for what I've seen, management makes sure the trash is dumped every week, the grass is cut, hallways are cleaned, and works well with those of us who live on Social Security and don't get our checks until the 3rd of each month.
