Each time I visit Cortland North Beach, I experience a clean and tranquil environment. I am much impressed with the maintenance team members who do an excellent job at keeping the property in top-notch condition. I do not recommend anyone to come here! Me and my husband moved here from another state last year in December. Upon moving in we notice alot of things was wrong. Leaking faucet, door knob on wrong, lock wasn't working for the guess bathroom, the mantle needed painting, and it was nasty behind the dishwasher and stove! The apartment was not move in ready AT ALL but we made it work. I was going to clean up anyway because I knew not to trust that it would be clean. We told them about the issues and after 2-3 months of begging, they finally fixed all but one problem and that was the faucet. It's been 5 months and they still haven't replaced the faucet! They are ridiculous and trifling! We had mold under our kitchen sink. It took 5 days for maintenance to come out. All he did was spray it with some treatment and painted over it the next few days. I was under the impression he was suppose to cut out the damage board and replace it. Nope, he painted over it! PLEAS DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! SAVE YOUR MONEY PLEASE!

Overall, the community at North Beach is clean and very nice. The amenities are clean and attractive. The management is horrible. I don't know if they are short staffed or what, but I have seen other residents unhappy with management as well. If they could the fix the non responsive management, this would be a 5 star community.

I have leaking windows. Put in a work order November 22nd. After weeks of maintenance not responding to the work order I reached out to the office (via email since no one ever answers the phones) with picture and video of water dripping down onto the window seal. Supposedly a window guy was to come out to see if it needs replaced but no one showed up and when I reached back out to the office to follow up I got no response. Now that a hard freeze hit I have ice on the inside of the window.

I do like this apartment complex, its quiet and the people are friendly. The customer service though is terrible, they are never in the front office and they NEVER answer the phones so I always get rerouted to the maintenance desk. Mind you I have had 3 different maintenance requests put in since i moved in 2 months ago and nobody has called or tried to come fix it. Now I had another thing break and they still havent fixed the first 3!!!! I will not be renewing my lease here.
They have been great service here maintenance gets things done and the crew stays on top of things definitely would recommend 10/10 more that happy and satisfied with the community here

Ive been living at Cortland North Beach for a year and a half and I love it. Cortland apartments in general are high quality in management and maintenance, which is my absolute top priority with apartments. The amenities are a little smaller here than some other Cortland apts in the DFW area (especially the pool), but they are still nice and well maintained.

The Laurel by Cortland is a fantastic community! The staff is nice and the apartments are beautiful. I love all the additional features offered like covered parking, valet trash and a full size washer & dryer in the unit.

This is an amazing place to live, the amenities are fantastic, the events are always fun, extremely clean. Right now everything is closed due to Covid, but the management is still giving us things to do. Scavenger hunts, cook books, fitness routines. You should definitely try to live here.

This place made me feel how appreciate, the all team are as a resident. You get what you pay for, the quick response on a request is something I always love about this place.
Professional and courteous staff. The team goes out of their way to come up with fun and festive activities for the community.
Nice neighborhood and easily accessible. I love the waterfall and that my balcony and bedroom overlooks it! I think this is what made my final decision about moving in! The staff seems very nice and friendly. Maintenance typically responds in a reasonable timeframe. Overall the community is clean. My needs are met, I do not have any current problems, and hopefully it stays that way!

I completely satisfied and I feel the best leaving experience in this apartment.
I never write reviews but you have to give credit to this staff. We have lived here for over 2 years and while the renovations were longer than expected, they delivered. The pool, gym, and club house are very stylish and clean. We have noticed people "sneaking" into the pool who dont live there but the staff (Amanda)is very attentive and is always looking for ways to make our experience great. They through a party at the pool for the residents and it was amazing. Amanda made sure everyone had a great time and went above and beyond what was expected. Maintenance crew is probably the best we have ever had and Management staff is also very nice.

Apartment units are very nice and clean. However, several residents complain of a strong odor of Marijuana inside of their units. Yes this property has recently turned into a "smoke free community" however NOTHING has changed at all. It is very difficult to get the management to do anything about it, and there is not much they can do anyway. These residents that use Marijuana continue to smoke regardless of the rules. I use to love this place but the new management team is very unhelpful and selfish. Several units, including mine, have flooded my entire unit damaging my property. All the management could say was "sorry" and offer to mop up the mess. DO NOT MOVE HERE, LOOK ELSEWHERE!!!

The staff at The Laurel is incredibly kind, courteous, and there to help you with any questions or problems. Service requests are swiftly taken care of. The apartment renovations are really awesome considering prices as well. Parking is also easy to find for visitors that may be coming to you.
I love the Laurel apartments and amenities! we are very lucky to live in such a nice complex with the natural beauty of the trees and greenery. The community center is state of the art and decorated with style. The apartments are updated, clean and fresh and nicely arranged with the trees and creek. The staff is one of a kind and on top of there game.

Pieces of wire, screws and paint chips on carpet. Green spots on new carpet. Tubs were dirty. Kitchen sink was dirty. New floors have deep scratches (all this was reported and documented and taken care of) All these things were promised when we signed the lease . Its been a little disappointing.... seems we should have been compensated in some way . Yet , We remain faithful following rules and policies and paying rent on time .

The Laurel by Cortland is lovely and the grounds make you feel at home.
Three year resident, the management is superior, grounds great maintenance exceptional. Large complexes have never suited me, the Laurel is just my size with a great family style, professional staff and happy residents.
My living experience at The Laurel as resident is awesome. One of the best in city. Like it. Love it.
Beautiful apartments, pet friendly, AMAZING customer service, high noise level both in the very early morning and late at night from neighbors who have already been asked to stay quiet during those times, and non-transparent billing still after two months.
