Apartment Reviews at Covey Run Apartments
Covey Run Apartments
I moved here a few months ago and love it. The apartment has a lot of space and the location is fabulous. I love walking my dog on the bike path...just can't wait for it to get a little warmer!
These apartments are ok for what they are. Its nice to be in a ranch style unitas opposed to having neighbors below or above you. It's a diverse community which is a plus. There a lot of kids, which normally would be great, but the majority of the time they are fully unattended (i'm talking 5 year olds roaming with no parent in sight). Noise is ok, typical apartment in that sense. Some loud car stereo's late at night and the occasional party nearby add to the noise level, but nothing excessive. The location is obviously the primary selling point. The unit itself though is tiny. There is no storage space outside of bedroom closets and no utility room (simply a closet for a washer/dryer). If you have any amount of "stuff" it probably won't all fit appropriately in the apartment. The kitchen is rather large for an apartment and definitely is one of the positives, but you have to think that space would have been better used with a regular sized apartment kitchen and a storage closet. In addition, the place gets a LOT of bugs. I mean it's usually 2-3 times a day we see a spider or centipede within our apartment not to mention the occasional waterbug. They claim terminix or orkin (can't recall which) comes regularly, but I've only seen them a handful of times and they haven't really helped. This amount of bugs is in spite of the fact we use ortho home defense in our unit once every three months or so. On top of that, they will nickel and dime you. For example, they have washer and dryer hookups, but charge you $25 per month for each (so 50 total) just to have them in use. $250 to replace blinds that cost $18 at Menards (they insist you aren't allowed to replace them on your own). There are random surcharges at the time of lease signing that aren't disclosed before hand either. It just seems shady. Also the staff lives in the clubhouse (literally). When you go to pay rent, or ask for a service issue, or even discuss anything, you feel like you are walking into someones home (not in a good way - you feel like you are intruding). It is unwelcoming. Not to mention the new management staff looks to be on average, about 20 years old (I assure you this is not an exaggeration). It doesn't fuel confidence in the long term. All in all, the unit is average. The vaulted ceiling is a nice touch and the maintenance is usually quick. The problem is this is a $600 apartment masquerading as an $800 apartment due to location.
Stay away from here...
I HATE THIS PLACE... I DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE. Managers and staff are rude and annoying.
Shame on you, Covey Run.
Management is absolutely terrible. Shame on them for treating people the way they do. Warning: the management of this place WILL invade your privacy and make extremely condescending and hurtful remarks about the state of your apartment, even if it is clean and well-kept. They will also make comments about the way you choose to live your life (a life that doesn't disrupt others, mind you). How sad that receiving a monthly payment, on time, isn't enough for them. How sad that people who have lived there for years without issue are now being treated as second-class citizens. Final words: everyone is fighting invisible battles - don't presume to know what's going on in other peoples' lives. "Judge not, lest ye be judged."
I just moved in here about 2 weeks ago and was a little nervous because this place had mixed reviews online but am so glad I took the time to check it out for myself! The ladies in the office were very friendly and walked me thru every step of the way, which I really appreciated. They even gave me a "house warming" gift basket...how awesome is that!! None of the other apartments I had looked at were as large or as modern with the vaulted ceilings and all...so all in all I am very happy and would recommend this place to just about anyone in all walks of life!
I love it here!
I moved in at covey Run Apartments over the summer and love it! I am in a wonderful location close to the bike path and love my neighbors. It is so nice not having anybody live above or below you, so it really makes it feel more like living in a home rather than an apartment. Everyone on staff is always so friendly and helpful; they really make you feel like you are an important part of the community.
Wonderful management; nice apartments
Just moved in and Adrianne and Andrea are freakin awesome! They jump through hoops to get stuff done and make you feel welcome!! The property seems clean and well kept and the location is superb. Highly recommend!!
Great Apartment/ Location
Really happy since moving here. Its quiet, I don't get bothered and don't have to drive forever to get places.
Bed bugs, Management is horrible, no storage
Covey Run has changed so much and not in a good way. Living there for the last couple of years was good until new management arrived. The company has hired some inexperienced, unprofessional young lady's who are very rude and unfriendly. The office is hardly open to talk to anyone when you need them. Maintenance use to fix things quickly and now it takes weeks. This place has gone down. We need the old management back. The places are nice but no storage. Literally no room to fit anything extra. Bikes have to be stored outside or in your bedrooms. Maintainace up charges for everything. Ex. Light bulb $6. Blinds $100. Too many kids that are unsupervised. Also, since I have been gone I have had no problems with bed bugs and never had them before I moved there. Stay away!!. Great area for shopping area.
Apartments are nice, but the management company is too awful to overlook. Difficult and unfair in every aspect of the word. Don't bother with this place since the past management moved on. Not worth the hassle.
Beautiful apartment with high ceilings and great area near many shopping centers (Austin landing ) . Well kept lawns and parks for kids. School in area are great.
