Northwest Manchester is a neighborhood spanning the area to the west of the Merrimack River about five miles from the city’s center. The majority of Northwest Manchester is filled with wooded lands hiding manicured neighborhoods and luxurious homes. Rental options are mostly clustered along the eastern border of town, closest to Interstate 293. The eastern border of town also provides several opportunities for outdoor recreation through the parks and trails along the river. A few shopping and dining choices are located off the interstate, but more entertainment options are located just south of town in the downtown district.

Lived here for almost 2 years. The complex is huge spread out awesome amenities in and outside. I love the management. They’re easy-going great conversations every time I go down to pay my rent get my free coffee and fill up the coffee station. maintenance is amazing. they’re clean And efficient. Plenty of parking the residence are OK hard to make friends though because people move in and out of here so much you never know who is who at night there’s plenty of lighting. The apartments little outdated hallway a little small and rugs need to be changed apartments are a little bit pricey but we are going into 2026 and well it’s expected but if you think about it with all the awesome amenities, you have a gym got a pool a dog park a dog grooming station Barbecue area basketball court tennis court area, which is all included in your rent as well as a conference room oh let me tell you the bathrooms in the clubhouse. I feel like I’m in a mansion so if you considering a new place move to consider Halstead Country Side Village happy holidays.

I am really happy with my unit, I think it’s a really good size. The walls can feel thin at times if my neighbors are loud but that’s pretty standard across any other apartment buildings. The clubhouse is beautiful, and all of my neighbors are very friendly. I don’t go to the community events but it seems they put on some great activities for the residents here. When I have had maintenance requests, they meet them very timely. Having laundry in my unit is a huge plus, although the W/D is on the smaller side. Overall I would be happy to sign my lease again if I’m able to stay in this area for work.

Moving from New Mexico to New Hampshire was a big change for my family, and finding housing right away wasn’t easy. From the very beginning, the staff here showed patience, understanding, and genuine care. They communicated clearly, worked with our situation, and guided us step by step until we secured our apartment. Their willingness to help made what could have been a stressful process so much smoother, and we will always be grateful for that support. The apartment community itself has been wonderful. It’s tucked away in a quiet, wooded area, which gives us a sense of peace and privacy. My Boyfriend and I have just signed our now 6th year lease. While having the city life conveniences, set in what feels like a suburban community. Beautiful nature views, quiet neighborhood, and very pet friendly. Neighbors still hold doors for one another and help each other out. While not being able to afford a house of our own, this has been an amazing environment for our little family!

The Halstead countryside community is the best community I’ve ever lived at. It was my first apartment and the amenities at Halstead are amazing. There’s is a pool, a spacious gym, a dog spa tennis and basketball courts a dog park a playground a pond and more the apartments are very spacious, luxurious and all around beautiful they keep up with maintaining the property well and the application process was easy, minimal fees, and within the end of the week I was picking up my keys for my new home. I would recommend the Halstead to anyone looking for a new home for life.

I moved in a few months ago to Halstead countryside mainly due the fact that they allowed my 80 pound dog. But what I have found is so much more. The apartments are spacious and quiet, everyone we have met along the way has been friendly and helpful, maintenance had come right away to complete any adjustment that I needed when I first moved in, (broken window locks), the gym is state of the art and has given me my motivation back. I can’t wait for the warmer months to get full use of the outdoor amenities. The only downfall I have found is that there is no lights at the dog park which is tough when it gets dark at 4:30pm. I’m thankful to have found a convenient apartment to downtown and any restaurant or shop you could imagine. From what I have experienced, I will most likely be staying here longer than I originally expected.

My (now Ex) boyfriend moved out suddenly and left me with a 2 bedroom to pay on my own. I couldn't pay the full rent last month, so I talked to the office and they are willing to work with me until I find a room mate and get caught up on rent payments. I've never had an issue living here for almost 2 years, and everyone that lives here are kind and respectful. It's quiet, in the woods, but only 12 minutes to down town Manchester. 5 minutes to Bass pro, Walmart, Market Basket, Target, Home Depot, PetCo, and more.... They have everything you would want in amenities. Very dog friendly.

Halstead was top of my list when looking for apartments due to the amenities and location. I’ve had no problems since moving in a month ago. Very pet friendly, and can’t wait to use the amenities in the warmer months. "Fanciest Slum Lord in Manchester" is the best way to describe this apartment complexes management style. They care about unnecessary paint jobs for the front office and fake greenery for the walls while the actual buildings have bursting pipes in the main hall above the front door and faulty appliances, (due to the drying fans) fire alarms that went off everyday, multiple times per day for weeks afterwards, poor ventilation in bathrooms causing mold and mildew. The water restoration fans in our unit had to be on 24/7 for two weeks, and the office refused to compensate for the costs of the electric burden or even reply to multiple inquiries after we sent the documentation they asked for. When the seal was literally falling off of our refrigerator, it took them weeks (with our food spoiling) to replace the old one with a dented and scratched "new" one, when a plastic knob to operate our AC unit broke, we were told to just use pliers to turn it on. Our dishwasher stopped working about 10 days ago and they are claiming next week to repair/replace. The maintenance guys are good guys but are not paid enough, so they are chronically shortstaffed and too busy to make repairs. Maybe if they paid decently they could attract more people, but they don't care about the residents, just their appearance. We have been here 7 years and never once were even late on rent and this is how this company rewards good paying tenants. We will be moving out at the end of March and we will be speaking to local news and the BBB about these issues as they want an additional $4000.00 ON TOP OF March's rent when we move out. This company is a slum lord, albeit with a fancy front office, but a slum lord nonetheless. Rent elsewhere. You'll thank me.

From the great amenities to the well kept buildings, for 3 years I have loved living here! I love the community of the neighborhood and I have always felt safe and welcomed at Halstead. In the summertime, the pool area is so much fun and I love being able to use the state of the art gym without having to go far from home.

We’ve lived here for a little over a year and have had minimal complaints. Most of the staff is quite friendly, maintenance is timely though occasionally backups happen. They try to take care of the most important issues first, which unavoidably puts non emergent issues on a delay. Our neighbors are all pretty great except one but that’s the joy of apartment living. They do a good job at making the area feel safe and not like stereotypical Manchester.

We had a hard time finding a place that met our needs and would allow us to have our two 50lb dogs, so it was a relief when we found Halstead had both what we wanted in an apartment (good sq footage, in unit laundry and dishwasher, good closet sizing) and would allow us to have our dogs! Application and approval process was easy and painless, and Michael at the leasing office was super friendly and knowledgeable about the apartments and patiently talked over all the options available and helped us find an apartment that met our needs.

As every place you rent there’s always going to be something people don’t like because nothing is perfect, but for what they offer and if you can ignore the small little things, then you couldn’t ask for a better place to rent!

They have blk mold on the basement and haven’t fixed it for 2+ years dispute 3 service requests. Sense it got sold they The properties upkeep has went down dramatically. There’s trash everywhere. The carpet in the hallway disgusting you feel dirty, even bringing your shoes into the apartment after walking down them. The rent goes up every year a ridiculous amount for the same apartment that has never been touched since the 80s, they have multiple fires since I have lived there and appeared five years. And all the apartments have sprinklers.

If you are willing, please call or visit the Leasing Office so we may address all of your concerns and take care of any area of discoloration in your basement that we may have previously missed during repairs.
Property is disgusting. Dog poop everywhere, dog bag stations frequently empty. My dog contracted a severe intestinal bacteria nearly killing her from the gross dog park. People speed constantly and recklessly. The light pole in front of our building has been laying on the ground with the wires exposed for nearly two weeks now. There is trash all over the property. The basketball court fencing has been down for two weeks. Maintenance requests are half completed. The "renovated" units are a joke, the carpet is horrible, the drawers are shoddily nailed together. The landscaping is now done by one guy for the whole property so your grass may get cut once a month and no other landscaping is done other than at the clubhouse and show units. The place is not a luxury neighborhood and has no right charging what it does. I wonder where all that rent is going because it is not into the property.

Over priced for what they have to offer. Rent has gone up over $1000 in the last two years. And for some reason since we’ve lived here, five years, three different managements have bought out the place. And each one raise the prices more and add more stipulations. Never rented from a place that charges you so high plus it makes you pay for everything except trash. And they don’t have good lease plans. It’s either a 12 month lease or month-to-month. That’s 500 more than your base rent. Which makes it hard to really find another place an exit. Maintenance used to be on top of things here. But on average it takes 2 to 3 weeks to fix a non-emergency issue. One positive they have struggled with having good staff over the last few years. But this last year they’ve gotten some good help in the office and they do do their best to help and r kind. Still hard to reach them by phone but if you make time to go in person and wait a little, you’ll get a hold of them.
Besides the amount of cigarette smoke that comes seeping through my windows from neighbors (I have bad asthma), I love the spaciousness of the apartment and how quiet everyone is at night. Lived here 6 months and considering renewing in the spring!

Honestly the complaints we had are no different than any other rental property, but Halstead does a good job at keeping them under check. Watch the lease agreements as they are long and confusing and wordy which caused issues as we were trying to move out. The amenities upgrade that they recently did very much improved the usability of the common spaces in total. Though I expect the price will increase from this. We've heard bad stories from other neighbors but all issues we had were fixed in a timely manner. If the price makes sense to you then go for it.

Between the amenities and different events hosted there is always something to do! There is such a wide variety of amenities that make this place so unique. We are new to the state and couldn’t imagine renting somewhere that didn’t provide the nice community you get here. Every question we had during the application process was answered, as first time renters things were explained to us in detail and we had help every step of the way. Location is amazing as well being close to things like Walmart, market basket and petco are a huge plus. Overall we’ve never had a single issue!

I was very disappointed. I showed up with my friend at my appt time only to find out that it was booked in error! I never got the tour however Haley was helpful and showed me how to access the application online. I had a few questions and called them at least 10 times!! No one answered the phone! Very frustrating!

My husband and I have lived here for 4 years with our two young children and we absolutely LOVE it here. Since day one, management has been so helpful and always go above and beyond for whatever we may need assistance with. We have developed an amazing bond with each and every one in the management office. We are so grateful for them! Maintenance is always incredibly fast at responding to whatever needs to be fixed or looked at. They too, always go above and beyond. We live in an updated corner unit and it fits our family perfectly. We feel so at home here! The property itself is absolutely gorgeous. The grounds are always kept beautifully and in the Spring/Summer, you can find flowers all over the property and the grass is always kept nice and neat. We especially love the gorgeous pool here!! I always recommend Halstead Countryside to anyone I know who may be looking in the Manchester area because I know they will love it here! We are looking forward to our future years here and feel right at home. This place will always hold a special place in our hearts.

The office could care less about problems in their units. I have had numerous complaints gone completely un noticed... dogs barking @ all hours... police arresting ppl all the time. This place is terrible as far as the people managing. And instead of responding here you can send me an email please since this place won't respond to a complaint. Apt 225.. you know...
