The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Cortona at Forest Park
I lived here for 3 years and had a stellar experience. The staff is professional, friendly, and helpful. The maintenance team responds quickly to work orders and the overnight crew is available for any issues that come up after hours. The facility is top notch, including the gym, pool, lobby, and apartments. Sam and Naomi run a great complex, and they have even gone out of their way to help me with personal matters when things came up. It was truly difficult for me to leave this community after such an excellent experience!!!

Hello, we strive for 100% satisfaction, and it is great to see you had such a positive experience at Cortona at Forest Park.
I have been living here for 2 years and have loved every minute of it. The staff are some of the nicest people you will ever meet and are very quick to answer any question or concern I have ever had. The amenities are amazing with a pool, hot tub, and gym that has everything you could need if you're creative enough with weights. Location is great too, although there aren't too many bars or restaurants that are walking distance, the ones that are are great. One of the best things about it is it is walking distance to Forest Park and the Zoo. If I have one complaint about the complex it is that some of the walls are thin and you can hear your neighbors fairly easily.

Thanks again for taking the time to leave us this information about your visit. Take care!
I lived in Cortona for 3 years To me, the best thing I did while living in STL is picking that apartment complex. First, members of the staff/admin are extremely friendly, highly competent, and very creative. They provide excellent services and always throw the best gatherings, cocktail and holiday parties which happen monthly. Second, everything is new, fresh, and hip. The vibe is great. If you like calm and quiet, you got it. If you need to socialize, you also can do that. The common area is phenomenal. You have a pool table, a 24 hour gym with the newest machines, a multi-purpose room, a place to study and drink coffee (instead of going to coffeeshops all the time), and a huge TV where you can drink a beer and relax. The Jacuzzi is open all year, and the pool is open at least 5 months of the year (Mid April to November). I've been to many apartments in STL and this pool is the best one I've seen. You need 1 minute to access 64 and a few minutes to access 44. It's a 5 minute drive to CWE and a 10 minute drive to any other neighborhood in Saint Louis. If you like going to the park, it's a 10 minutes walk to Forest Park. The neighborhood is safe in general but there's not much going on. There's a yoga place, a great coffeeshop (Comet Coffee), and a Jimmy Jones but otherwise it's all residential. This place is worth every penny. I only made double the rent but I would still pick that place in a heartbeat. I just loved hanging out there.

Hello, we strive for 100% satisfaction, and it is great to see you had such a positive experience at Cortona at Forest Park.
The service from the management is the worst I have ever experienced. The manager's attitude was really bad. They did not try to fix the problem, instead said the problem was caused by us. Moreover, the circuit always tripped. We could not cook and the dryer stopped after a few minutes of drying. We asked them to check the problem, but it took them a few weeks to fix it. I had a hard time getting my clothes dried. They tried to change the dryer, but still the same problem existed. Their efficiency was really low and the problem-solving skills were horrible. Terrific experience in this apartment.

Thank you so much for leaving us a review, we apologize that you have not had a great experience. We agree that diagnosing this electrical problem took longer than usual. We had to swap out your dryer with a new one to determine if the problem was caused by either a) the appliance itself or b) faulty wiring behind your walls. I apologize that this caused you an inconvenience while we tested out different conditions. If there is anything else that we can do to make your stay with us more enjoyable, please stop by the office. Thank you again for your valuable feedback, it will help our team be more efficient when dealing with electrical issues in the future. Sincerely, -Mark (Community Manager)
I can't say enough good things about this community. The customer service is excellent, from the management and concierge service, to the maintenance staff as well. The staff is super personable and always there to help. Any maintenance request we had was completed within 24 hours and they would even change out burnt out light bulbs without us even asking.Sarah, a Cortona employee, even fished out my passport from my apartment that I forgot for my honeymoon when I was already in Chicago for my wedding! We loved our unit. The floor plans are very efficient and open, with a lot of natural light. The amenities are phenomenal. The gym is very convenient. The pool is, in my opinion, the best in the city for both style and accessibility. We used the hot tub and community grills on a weekly basis too. The location is also very central for all purposes. I work in Chesterfield and my morning commute was 15 minutes tops, and the evening commute wasn't that much longer. The close proximity to all of STL's best neighborhoods and restaurants was a major plus too. The building was also very quiet. Even though we had 275 neighbors, it never felt that way. I highly recommend The Cortona at Forest Park.

The amenities and staff here as well as the beautiful modern fixtures make it worth every penny. They occasionally host community events for the residents.
