Chrissy (the property manager) and Ben (the assistant manager) have been super responsive and genuinely seem to care about making things better for residents. Cortland Decatur East is a great community to live. The community is generally quiet and the amenities are great. Management provides timely communication and reminders.
Courtland East is convienent for the MARTA traveler and the curious foodie. The living space is clean and the crew are friendly. The amenities are spot on for the person who wants to workout, study or relax. The friendly front desk staff and the coffee machine will brighten your day. Cone and see!
My experience at Cortland Decatur East has been wonderful. The apartment building is clean and well-maintained. The management team members are friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful and the maintenance staff are prompt and professional. The apartment complex has wonderful amenities and is quiet. I am loving my renting experience!
If you want to be locked out of your home without help for multiple hours because their electronic only keys don’t work and their customer service is awful then sign right up for the anxiety and immense frustration. All you will get in terms of a response is a ‘computer says no’ corporate statement - they don’t care
We are working together to build a community and I'm satisfied with the effort and progress.
Cortland Decatur East is the coziest, most well-maintained community I've been lucky enough to live in.

Everything about the leasing process was easy and stress-free. I really felt like everyone in the leasing office did their best to find the right unit for me. I’ve been here for a couple of months now and it’s been great. They also have regular community events, I just need to do a better job about making it to them, but they all seem creative and like they would be a lot of fun.

I’ve lived here for 3 years and it was nice in the beginning but the quality has gone way down. Probably won’t renew this year and I can’t say I could recommend. But I love my apartment because it’s mostly quiet and no one bothers us. Management is just not that great. Needs more security and the parking deck is so dangerous. Time to get a house.

This apartment complex is not safe. People regularly break into cars and steal packages from the "secure" parcel lockers. The apartment does nothing to fix these issues. Do not move here. It's not worth the money.

We have not received any reports matching the description in your review in over a month, however when they do occur, our team always encourages residents to file a report with the local police department. Unfortunately, we have found that some couriers are not using the locker system correctly which can lead to packages being unsecure. I've lived at Cortland Decatur East for two years now and I have no plans on leaving! I love my apartment and the amenities the community has (including the Burn Boot Camp and salon downstairs). I feel safe walking around the area and enjoy the proximity to both Avondale and Downtown Decatur. Cannot brag enough on the office staff (shout out Leida, Anya, Sidney!) and service team enough. When my car battery unexpectedly died, the service tech Jeremy personally pushed my car for me so it could be jumped. Would 100% recommend leasing here. You will love it!

The billing process is not transparent. Please reconsider renting here . Would not recommend the apartments, unless you are willing to pay 150/200$ additional every month over & above the advertised rent.

I definitely plan on living in this community/area long term. The apartments are modern and new, along with an up and coming neighborhood with lot of places in walkable distance. The service team is very responsive to my requests, and the ladies at the office are very nice and helpful!

I toured this community with my daughter and was blown away by the friendly welcome by the ladies at the front. Sidney and Dedra did a great job. Sidney was our leasing agent and she really took her time answering all of our questions.

The Cortland is a mixed bag. Great location with direct access to Marta, wonderful staff and awesome modern design. Downsides are very expensive, guest access through leasing office is a pain, you only get to a model unit with a design that doesn't match yours, some residents play music that comes through wall, and fire linked alarms so any tripped alarm makes them go off through the entire huge complex of buildings.

Nice community and an awesome staff just minutes from East Atlanta and 15 minutes from downtown Atlanta.
What an extraordinary community and living experience. So quiet here and the amenities are wonderful!
The apartment is classy and elegant. It’s everything really. ????
DO NOT DO IT STAY AWAY. Management does not care about your safety. Their are roaches in the hallways. Residents will also often have packages stolen from the mailroom. Dog poop in the hallway some mornings. Also frequent car break in. Security sits outside the complex parking deck and they only do one walk through at night. During the day time there is no security. The courtesy officer they have does nothing but put up eviction notices. When management is approached about the break ins they basically say they are doing all they can which is absolutely nothing and they just say well everyone is being broken into not just us. Deflect Deflect Deflect that is all they do.
Cortland Decatur East overall is a great place to live. No pest issues, supportive and friendly leasing agents (Anya & Dalia), nice service manager (Paul). Apartments are modern and have a nice appearance. My only complaint is about residents who do not clean up after themselves and who are not considerate of other residents.
CDE is an amazing living space in a great location.
Ive been living here a little over a year. Other than tenant issues, its a nice community and a nice area to live in.

I have really enjoyed my experience at Cortland Decatur East so far! The staff was very friendly and helpful during the touring and application process, and have continued to provide great service when needed (unlike some management teams that can almost seem to ignore you after you've officially moved in). I love the layout and amount of storage in my apartment compared to other 1 bedrooms I was looking at during my search/my previous apartment. I would definitely recommend living here and will be sad to leave when I end up moving out of town!
Cortland Decatur East is the most pet friendly place I've ever rented. The amenities and management staff are excellent.

Since moving in I have come to greatly appreciate the ideal location of this property and the quality of the apartments. The team was very welcoming and made the move in process a smooth transition. The loading dock and elevators made move in a breeze. Our apartment is impressively appointed for this price range. The quality of appliances and the finishes throughout exceeded my expectations. After some fairly extensive apartment hunting, I am pleased to have selected Cortland Decatur East.
We spend a lot of time at home nowadays, so choose wisely where you live! I did! I love my apartment!

Cortland Decatur East is easily the best apartment community Ive encountered in metropolitan Atlanta. The apartment is literally luxurious. The community staff is friendly, courteous and professional. Finally, location, location, location! The location in Decatur cant be beat.
My experience at Cortland Decatur East has been very positive. The staff is attentive; surroundings inside and out are kept very well; and neighbors are quiet or the sound proofing is excellent.

I have a nice skyline view of city of Atlanta. Near Dekalb farmers market. This complex IS Avondale train station. New finishings, parking garage, so many floor plans. I dont have any complaints. And thats rare lol
