Overall an awesome place to live at, the only complaint I really have is that we’re locked into this contract with spectrum and there’s no way we can get out of it. I would like to choose a different internet provider but I’m not allowed to according to management.

The management of this community is not up to par. I find myself frustrated about the responsiveness of service requests, in general the manager has literally used the phrase “I don’t know” when I’ve asked questions. I don’t like the upkeep of the unit and I regret moving in here.

Cortland is a very nice and peaceful community, very family friendly and always kept tidy. Would recommend for a small family or couples. Would not recommend to here if you have a lot of devices that use WiFi. Contracted WiFi with spectrum and no way to get out of that
This place cares more about its general outside appearance than the quality of its apartments and care of its residents. The staff is either new, rude, or incompetent. It has arbitrary and inconsistent rules; the rules are like the worst HOA you’ve ever dealt with (I.e. saying you cannot decorate for holidays or hang holiday lights on your balcony/door). There are pros, but cons outweigh them in my opinion. I haven’t had a usable microwave in 3 weeks, I haven’t had a usable washing machine for a week and have ruined clothes and sheets because of it, the side gate to the residence has been broken for almost 4 months. Our rent increased by almost 10% within 9 months.
We really enjoy living here. Very peaceful very secured. Management and the maintenance crew are very fast and reliable and helpful.
Decent place. I got a raw deal but maybe your experience will be better. Please take your time in selecting a unit and do not rely on anyone’s word that things will get fixed. What you see is what you get. Don’t be persuaded by talk of transfers to another unit you have to sign another lease that extends your current one.
Horrible experience at this community with all the staff ranging from the office staff not returning phone calls, maintenance closing my service requests without fixing the issues. Trash concierge often times doesn’t take the trash.
The staff here is amazing and the property is quiet and well kept, I would recommend anyone to live here!

Good area placement. Nice big apartments with nicely sized garages. Good services team.
I have been a resident at Cortland for ~3 years and have been very happy with the environment and moreso, the staff. Cindy, Angel and Justin have made sure everything I need is taken care of and go as far taking the time to follow up! Maintenance is top notch as well...Gilbert will ensure the job done is done right and if something cannot get done in a timely manner, he will make sure to communicate. Ray has also done an excellent job of following through to make sure the service request is done correctly. I am grateful for the staff at Cortland and highly recommend the complex to anyone for long-term or short-term stay.

The community is homey and not big like other apartment complexes. There is no issue walking around at night or having to worry about your car getting broken into. The location is great and it has great amenities.

Overall, the appearance and location of the apartment complex is excellent. However, when working with the staff, they seem to have poor communication. When trying to get service requests fulfilled, front office staff will tell you they have spoken with maintenance, then maintenance seems confused when asked any questions. Maintenance also says they will follow up by a certain time, but refrains from servicing or even looking at the problems in the apartment unit. The front office staff is also quick to cut you off when asking questions, and will not follow up regarding issues they say they will follow up on.

I recently moved into this community from relocating from Ohio for work. I moved in back in May of 2023 and have had a great experience from day one. The amenities are great and they have even upgraded their charging station to a newer model. The pool is amazing and the staff is always friendly and greets you when you enter the office. I would highly recommend this community, even when I've had issues in the apartment, the maintenance team is quick to respond and fix the few issues I've had.

We have lived at Cortland at Fredericksburg for 6 years already and we have loved every minute of it. Staff is great and so are the maintenance staff, especially Gilbert. Apartments are quiet and the neighbors too. The feel of the apartments are almost like townhomes from Colorado, especially when you relax at the pool at night and the stone walls.

This apartment complex is laid out in such a manner that it has a more of a neighborhood of town homes appearance. One of the main reasons I chose to live here. The staff are attentive and work hard to maintain it.

Really love the look and feel of this community. Enjoying my corner apartment with side patio area and a pretty view of a big oak tree when I sit outside relaxing with my dogs. I also enjoy my walks inside and outside of community.

The management is practive with facility care and upkeep. I notice security patrols after hours that gave me a feeling of a safe environment. The pool, the exercise facility, and landscaping were all very well cared for. An oasis in San Antonio

Visited this property and oh man it was beautiful. Even though i live across town i would still lease here. The property Manager Cindy sure knows how to run a professional office. Gilbert was very professional by telling us he was the maintenance tech and asked if we wanted any water. I loved the floor plan. Its in a great area.

This community is beautifully kept, with an amazing office staff that is very helpful. The pool was the highlight of my visit but the clubhouse is amazing as well

Had a wonderful walk thru. Cindy was very knowledgeable and friendly. The apartments were ready for move-in. I wouldn't change a thing. Definitely a must see.

This is a nice well managed complex that gives you all the homey feels. From the Food trucks, to the events given by management, you're bound to feel right at home!

Work From Home (WFH) experience restricted if your company requires a VPN router. Monthly Mandatory community Spectrum internet set up prohibits ANY router. I am in IT and caution you if you WFH and need a VPN router set up. Having had to spend and extra $600/yr is disappointing.

Quiet community and attached garage are only positives. For the price to live here I would expect better quality experience inside apartment. A/C, Bathrooms and washing/drying appliances are very subpar.. mandatory trash valet/poor cable/wifi charges at over $100/mth (if you plan to work remote, it will not be a good experience internet-wise unless you pay for another circuit… nope they wont drop the mandatory community internet/cable charge either if you do)

This is a nice and well managed apartment complex. Conveniently located. Good looking and comfortable. It has great amenities and the staff is friendly and diligent.

Cortland at Fredericksburg is a great place to live. I've been here for 6 or 7 years and they have done nothing but improve their service and community standards. Clean, peaceful, and the staff is attentive. Can't ask for too much more than that to be honest.

Cortland as a management company does a fantastic job. I have lived in several apartment communities in my life, and this is by far the best experience I have had. The local staff are fantastic, and always pleasant, professional and helpful. Highly recommended!

I love The Preserve on Fredericksburg. The community is safe, clean, and the staff is very friendly! The apartments themselves and well kept and if anything is a problem, the staff is prompt at replying to work-order. The amenities are high end and truly luxury. The windows in the apartment let in so much light which really stands out against other apartments when looking for a place to live.
