Follow I-25 north from Albuquerque about 15 miles and you'll discover the fascinating town of Bernalillo. Situated along the Rio Grande with fantastic views of the Sandia Mountains, the history of this little community dates back to 1695, when it was founded by Don Diego de Vargas. Even the town's festivals have a long history -- the Las fiestas De San Lorenzo, held every year in August, has been taking place for more than 300 years.
Bernalillo is near some fascinating destinations. The Coronado Historic Site on Bernalillo's west side preserves the ruins of the Kuaua Pueblo, dating to about 1325. Visitors can walk the interpretive trail, which leads through the ruins to a reconstructed kiva. Several kiva murals were discovered during an archeological dig in the 1930s; these murals are considered some of the best Pre-Columbian art ever discovered in North America.

Property Ratings at Coronado Townhomes
Paper thin walls. Get ready to smell what your neighbor is making for dinner, hear when your neighbors are using the bathroom, have your rent endlessly raised, and pay exorbitant fees including a fee just labeled "fee". Plus the neighborhood used to feel safe but now the back of the complex is graffiti'd and there are unhoused individuals going through the garage bins.
Welcome home; I don't think so. Management does not take care of the property. Management does not take care of problems, in a timely fashion, when they arise. They finally got a tow service to remove the vehicles that rudely park in your spot; and then conveniently decide that because people are moving in, they'll halt all towing for 3 weeks. Property management never answers calls or responds to email complaints when they are submitted online. And this is coming from loyal rent paying tenants, that are not on low income, and do our share of sweeping and picking up trash. It seems that in this day and age, being neighborly doesn't get you anywhere, at least not at this complex. They were once a decent place, but those days are gone. Keep looking elsewhere.
I recommend this community to everyone. It's new and beautiful. Office person is friendly. Great location in Bernalillo. Will be living here for years to come.
