The lock on my front door was having issues, I put some oil in it and thought that would resolve it. Evidently it didn’t, as I was getting ready to leave for work it totally would not even turn the deadbolt when I put the key in. I notified the front office and told Warren and Tony in person, & by the time I returned from work, I had a brand new lock. I appreciate everybody’s help. It had put me in a panic when I couldn’t lock my front door, so thanks for the repair and replacement.

The appliances should be updated. People who aren’t on leases shouldn’t be able to park in front of the apartment. They should strictly be for the residents on the lease. If you’re going to include pest in rent then they should spray your apartment every month. Keeping better track of maintenance issues in apartments and finishing them instead of forgetting. Better communication from the front office.

We looked through several complexes before settling on colony house. My roommate and I are both first time renters, and were nervous about the process. The gentleman in the front office was a big help, and took us on a detailed tour of not just the apartment but the complexes grounds. The pool is fantastic. The laundry room is convenient & you can use an app to pay not just quarters. Our apartment has light colored wooden floors, and carpeted bedrooms. And the A.C is nice and cold. Everything we noticed that needed repair on the tour was fixed upon move in day.

Currently I am giving a 1 star review because—and I literally cannot believe that I am typing this—My BRAND NEW BIKE WAS STOLEN TWO NIGHTS AGO. CHAIN CUT. ONLY ONE TAKEN FROM THE RACK. I only have a brand new bike because my last one and all of the seats to my families bikes have already been stolen before. We are REQUIRED to keep our bikes in this rack, not chained outside our apartments, and they are glad to raise my rent by TEN PERCENT A MONTH each year but I see no change in my living environment to justify the increase, here’s an idea PROVIDE A SECURITY CAMERA AT THE BIKE RACK WITH THE EXTRA MONEY SO WHEN I HAVE TO CONTINUALLY MAKE POLICE REPORTS MAYBE YOU CAN ACTUALLY HELP YOUR RESIDENTS. I will be calling corporate AGAIN because my husband going to the office yesterday when we discovered this of course did nothing.

Your concerns about security and rent increases are important, and we encourage you to contact your renters insurance to find out what options are available to you in assisting with the protection of your personal belongings. The leasing office is your best resource for reporting issues and suggesting improvements so we certainly appreciate your feedback. Until any future improvements are made possible, we would strongly suggest keeping your bike inside your apartment for ultimate security.
The neighborhood is very nice. I really wish we had laundry hook ups in unit. It is a really convenient location next to everything I need.

it’s pretty quiet considering the amount of people that are here, and everyone is nice! i love it personally! i would want cameras around the area so if anything happened you could possibly see who and when did it and so forth. absolutely love that there is a dog park and a nice pool to join in anytime.

Thankfully this year we have had regular access to the pool, which we of course take advantage of so it almost ALMOST justifies our absurdly overpriced rent (raised by 10% for resigning a lease). My bathtub, bathroom sink, kitchen counters and cabinets all have paint peeling off everywhere—this was also true when we resigned our lease and they raised our rent but nothing is done. We have also had three bikes stolen from the bike rack where we are told we are to keep them…a simple surveillance camera in that area or literally ANY intervention of the homeless community that comes and raids our parking lot and dumpsters at night would eliminate this I’m sure. After the amount of complaints by fellow tenants they have tried polish up the place but it is obvious it is for appearance only. The laundry room is always filthy. The washing machines are so disgusting my clothes don’t get clean and it takes about 2 hours to dry clothes, so we leave the area to do laundry somewhere else

We are sorry to hear about some of the challenges you have faced and the loss of your bicycles. Please know that any issues in your apartment can be addressed by submitting a work order through the resident portal or contacting the leasing office. While staff cleans the laundry facility each morning, it most likely does see some disorder throughout the day, so we will ask that staff check the facility more frequently. Your feedback is greatly appreciated as we continue to make improvements in our community.

The grounds always look good, the pool is clean and ready when the weather is warm. Warren is amazing, he has stayed past 5 pm to help fix things in our apartment on multiple occasions and always has a smile.
