Extending from San Diego State University west to Fairmount Avenue, College West is home to many college students who appreciate the convenience to campus. The university occupies the northeastern corner of the neighborhood and student housing in this area is plentiful. Cross Montezuma Road and head south toward El Cajon Boulevard to find a quieter, more suburban atmosphere. Here, palm-tree-lined streets curve past attractive ranch-style homes with landscaped yards.
Most of the shops and restaurants in the neighborhood are located along El Cajon Boulevard. This is where you’ll find hotspots like Ackee Tree the real Jamaican Cuisine, the Living Room, Alforon Mediterranean, and RB Sushi. Attractions in College West include the San Diego Police Museum and SDSU’s Viejas Arena, home of basketball games and special events. Also located on campus, the Don Powell Theatre is the place to go for theatrical performances and films.

College View Apartments!
This place is great! I've never had an easier time communicating with a property manager in all my time spent apartment hunting. Heidi is so friendly and she made touring and applying very easy. Being able to walk to the gym, the pool, and my classes is amazing and the price is unbeatable! Parking space reserved and there's unlimited free parking on the street but it can be hard for guests to find a spot. Overall a great place to live!

College View is the place to be!
I love living at CVA! It is walking distance to campus, very reasonably priced, spacious, and homey. Heidi, the property manager, is excellent. She is always around to help with anything you could need. I am extremely happy here and just signed again for next year. It is a great option for students who want to be close to school without the SDSU affiliated prices.
