It is also ideally located, roughly nine miles southwest of Milwaukee. Greendale was one of three cities created in 1936 as part of President Franklin Roosevelt's New Deal.
Greendale is home to Wisconsin's largest mall, the Southridge Mall, which offers more than 125 stores. The downtown area is filled with locally-owned shops and restaurants, providing plenty of options for residents and visitors.
