College and Crown

This place makes me feel like home. I remember when I first moved to this town, I’ve got homesick and cried a few times. Management officers showed me the best restaurants here and comforted me. They gave me power to start from a new beginning. Love this place.

I stayed in C&C for a year while attending Yale. I am extremely satisfied with my stay and would recommend it to anyone. Staff i. The building are kind and helpful, maintenance requests are dealt with promptly, and all the logistics of the building work seamlessly.

We have loved living at College and Crown! It has an incredible downtown location that gives us easy access to food we love, and even more within walking-distance. The office staff is absolutely wonderful and helpful. They helped us get an apartment on a dime, and then helped us when we decided to transfer inside the building-not to mention the events they host for all of the residents. My partner and I are so glad we found College and Crown and became residents here.

We had to move on short notice and the staff were so accommodating and understanding with us. After moving in, we have really enjoyed the apartment, the community, and all the fun events, as well as the location. Couldn't have asked for better!

When we had to look for a new apartment after sudden flooding we were able to tour, fill out an application, and sign our lease in a few days. The entire team from the leasing and property manager to the maintenance team are incredibly kind and always helpful. The maintenance team has gone above and beyond to fix any concerns we have in an efficient and timely manner, even on weekends and late at night. The common spaces are also clean and fun for hosting events or even just grilling outside on the weekend. They are also free to use and reserve! The C&C team has worked hard to build a sense of community within the building and have truly achieved this! The resident events are so much fun and I know that there will always be someone to chat with when I walk into the lobby. One of the most animal friendly, and loving apartments in the area and we could not be happier. I recommend C&C to anyone moving to New Haven!

I moved up here for pediatrics residency at Yale and absolutely love college and crown! Incredible community and dog park for my dog Kennedy!

My family just moved out of College and Crown after more than 7 years (!) living there, and it was a fantastic experience that we could not more highly recommend. The location remains superb, if not improved, given the burgeoning restaurant seen nearby. Despite the years since we moved in (when it was essentially new), the building remains extremely well maintained with the building management (Michelle) and maintenance (Lou) responding quickly, decisively, and with flexibility whenever anything- small or big- came up. Michelle and Christine have done a remarkable job of really creating a community over the past year and change with frequent and legitimately fun events for all ages from the community puzzles on the first floor to celebrating pretty much any food-or-pet related holiday. We'll miss the building and people a ton

C & C is wonderful, with great amenities like two courtyards (one open to dogs!), fitness center, a beautiful community space that is FREE to rent, and on-site maintenance who are quick to respond to issues. The common areas are spotless. But the best amenity is the staff! They host social fun events that are well-attended, celebrate holidays like National Chocolate Cake Day, and greet the residents with smiles. Friendly residents and vibrant location too!

The property is beautiful, quiet, and safe! The staff was amazing through the whole process, from applying to moving in. Best of the best in New Haven.

Great place to live with really nice people . Lots of great space for my dog too! I can take the dog to the pet area at anytime and feel safe because it's only for our residents

My husband and I absolutely love Crown& College. Beautiful loft apartment, best location and wonderful people! Every month the management hosts a themed get together in the common room to bring folks together for food and drinks. We have met so many friendlyl people (young and older) and even after only 6 months, feel a warm sense of community. Everyone who works at C&C from facilities, to the package room, the front desk staff and the manager are so friendly, accommodating and even know our names!! It makes us feel welcome and we love living here.

I’m a current resident and couldn’t be happier! The staff are all amazing—the building is impeccably maintained and they are so helpful and responsive if you need anything. They also host community events that are a super fun way to meet neighbors. Great parking, fabulous location, and a private outdoor dog park! I toured many other apartment buildings in this price range, but College and Crown felt like home!

I went on a tour at the college and crown apartments, staff was very welcoming and was open to answering any of my questions or concerns while on tour providing great information on the resident events that take place there. my tour was during one of their events, it was chocolate cake day there were plenty of residents gathered around connecting with one another and I got a piece of chocolate cake great place to be!!!!!!

The resident events here have been awesome! I love connecting with other residents in the building, and the staff is always super welcoming.

I had just read a review on management recently and just completely disagree! I love my home and the building, I could not ask for better management, office staff as well as maintenance. The team here is superb! The location and what you receive in living here is truly amazing.

Since the prior reviews new management has taken over College and Crown. The temps that are hired over night and occasionally during the day do not know the system so can't help (or won't help) when things go wrong. There isn't a consistent person available during the day (maybe someone who is familiar 3-4 days out of the week) as they manage multiple properties. It's pointless to pay more for amenities such as a front desk person if you're not receiving any of them. The walls surrounding the windows are thin so you can hear everything happening on the street - I recommend if you are looking to move here to get an apartment that faces inward. The only shining qualities are the maintenance guys who are quick to respond to requests and are hold overs from the prior ownership. There are many new apartment complexes around new haven - I would recommend moving there instead.

Do NOT move into this building until you actually see that everything is done. The management has been lying about completion dates since June and continues to do so. If you move in now, what you can look forward to is construction in your hallway on a Saturday morning and dodging falling pieces of ceiling as you exit the building. There's currently no parking or concierge in the building, but you can look forward to the local homeless hanging out under the entryway instead as you return home at night after parking elsewhere. Upon pointing out these concerns, the building just says that they "don't guarantee anyone's safety". Comforting...
